Good evening, and to whom it may concern, I've been trying to correct the air bag recall since August 2016. I've contacted and visited the following dealership three times since I was notified of this recall: Bryan Honda 4104 raeford rd. Fayetteville, nc 28304 every time I visited the dealership, I was unable to get my vehicle serviced. The first time, the excuse from the dealership was that they didn't have the necessary parts and that I would have to come back after they received it. The second time, the excuse was that they didn't know they were supposed to order the part, so the part didn't get there. The third time, the excuse was that they never got the appointment or the notification to order parts, and they never performed the repair. I don't know what the laws are regarding recall actions, but aren't dealerships required to perform the repairs so that the vehicles are safe to operate? the only reason I haven't been able to continue to try to get this issue resolved is because I'm in the army and was deployed to a combat zone, and couldn't get my car serviced. Now that I'm back state side, I would really like this repair to happen, but the manufacturer is not cooperating. I've also called the corporate office, but haven't had any luck in scheduling an appointment. I need to ship my car to Hawaii, because I am on assignment to that state. I can't ship my car until all open recalls are resolved on my vehicle, but I can't get it done. If there is anything you can do to help me, it would be very much appreciated. Thank you for your time.

"takata recall" the vehicle was sold to me without airbags. The auto dealer will not take responsibility for the missing airbags. A recall was issued on the airbags for the vehicle and that is when I found out the vehicle was sold to me without them. I called the auto dealer and they said they knew nothing about it. They were supposed to call me back but as of this date, they have not done so. I was sold an unsafe vehicle and the will not take responsibility for it.

The contact owns a 2010 Honda Civic. While driving 65 mph, the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (Honda of tenafly, 28 county rd, tenafly, NJ 07670) where it was stated that due to the high mileage on the vehicle, the contact had to pay for the repair. The contact agreed to pay for the repair. It was diagnosed that the SRS unit, and passenger and driver side air bags needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted at 800-999-1009 and stated that since the vehicle had high mileage, the contact had to pay for the repair. A case number was not provided. The approximate failure mileage was 118,000.

Received notice in mail that there was a recall for airbags. Contacted Honda of marysville (wa) on April 27 @ 3:30pm to make a service appointment, spoke to a [xxx], was told he would contact me with a date and time to bring the vehicle in. Called and left him a message on his direct line ([xxx]) to make sure I have gave him all the information needed the following day. I waited until May 20th, when I called Honda of marysville again, and spoke with a [xxx], who said she had put my information into the system and someone from service would contact me to make the appointment-- as of 9/9/17 I still have heard nothing from the service center.. they have not made any attempt to remedy my vehicle in a reasonable amount of time. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

S10 direct reply - expressing concerns about a recent experience of having a 2010 Honda Civic shipped from los angeles to Minnesota via a carries service. The consumer was concerned about the unpoliced shipping of vehicles/auto Transport. The dashboard was cracking by the radio and over the passenger's airbag. The vehicle had complications with low gas mileage. The consumer also stated the photo enforced cameras are faulty. The consumer stated the vehicle's windshield has a blind spot on the left side placement of the side airbag and has inappropriate types of plastic used through out the vehicle. The consumer requested to sale the vehicle back to the company to be analyzed.

I wonder when they are going to recall my car because of the takata recall. I am scared every time I drive that someone might hit me and the air bag explode. When I call them, they say they are not recalling my year. Why not? if it is defective, it should be recalled.

Honda initiated this recall on May 23, 2016 (almost a year now) and they still dont have a solution. Details of the recall: May 23,2016 manufacturer recall number: KA5 NHTSA recall number: 16V-346 recall status recall: Incomplete, remedy not yet available and they advise not to have someone sit in front seat until recall is complete. That means no one can sit in passenger seat of my car indefinitely !!! Honda should work on this fast and find a solution for the recall at the earliest. But clearly they are not working on it.

Takata recall manufacturer has failed to provide correct documentation on the remedy. The recall notice, updated on Jan 14, 2017, asserts that the remedy parts will become available in late summer/fall 2016, but the remedy is not yet available. Clearly this is false and must be corrected.

Takata recall-on May 24, 2016, on an unusual hot and humid day on the lower Maryland shore, I watched my 17 year old daughter pull into a parking space - sidewalk in front of the space. I watched the car come to a stop and within seconds I watched the car jump onto the sidewalk. As I walked over to the car I saw that the airbags had deployed. The side, curtain airbags. I opened the car door, the car full of dust, my daughter crying and badly bruised and had to be taken to the hospital. She does not know what happened, nor do I. as a result of that incident, the car was totaled. The payoff did not cover the amount of the financing and my insurance company dropped our good driver rate, flagged my daughter and increased my insurance by $100 a month. At the time I called Honda and explained what happened, I gave them the VIN number but was told there was no recall and what was I looking for. Now eight months later the truth has come out.
