Hard to believe a 2 month old car would have immediate failure of the Bluetooth and radio system requiring full replacement.

This 2016 civic was the car to replace the other 2016 Civic that became a lemon. Now the Bluetooth in the new civic is not connecting. I did everything the dealer told me to do and it still didn't pair. If it doesn't work don't send it to the public. Never buying a Car from 2010 and up.

Brand new car not even a week old and the bluetooth goes out. Sure enough it is the one time I get 12 calls and a bazillion texts on my commute home. Couldn't do anything while driving so had to wait over 30 minutes until I got home.

The car and phone said it was paired but couldn't find each other. Then removed the pairing from phone but the car would not let me. Drove up a wall for about 30 minutes until I called local honda. Response was "Well that doesn't make sense, bring it in.". That was worthless, should not have to bring in for something like this, should be able to talk over the phone. I then called Honda support through honda link.

Response from them was "This is a known issue and we don't have a time line to fix it." So now I am at an anger level 3. Brand new car and they already knew about the issue but didn't tell me before purchasing. Still ticked off I kept searching the internet and found 1 obscure website where 1 person identified a solution.

Here you go the solution to all of your problems: Reboot! Hold the audio button down until reboot screen comes up. It takes 5 minutes to reboot. Once it came back on I was able to delete my phone and then re-pair it. Everything works fine again. This will get annoying fast though.

I have had my 2016 Civic for one month. My Bluetooth does not stay paired. I have to do a factory reset every 4 or 5 days. It also effects my Android Auto. Once Bluetooth goes out so does Android Auto. Once I reset to factory settings the phone can be paired and Android Auto works.

Bluetooth stopped working 3 days ago. Honda tells me it's because of a phone upgrade, but I was thinking, why didn't I ever have this problem in my Toyota Highlander! My phone's always upgrade, but never had a problem before I got this civic. I'm very disappointed in my civic, and wish I'd never sold my old car! It's been one problem after another, just wish I could return the damn thing!

Update from Apr 19, 2016: Honda says they know about the Bluetooth/touchscreen problems and will contact me when they have a fix! I wish they would work faster to fix the problem as Bluetooth is vital for my employment. It's still intermittent, works fine for 5-7 days, then broke for the next week!

Bluetooth connectivity does not worked and unable to connect to iPhone. I have restarted car many times but it was not getting connected. Then I have to forgot HandsFree bluetooth connection from my phone and try pairing it again but still it did not worked. Then finally I have restarted my iPhone and then try to pair it with HandsFree, it worked. But seems to be a problem with bluetooth connectivity, it is very slow when you start your car, it does not connect it immediately and take some time to connect it.

Not even an entire week of owning this car, we had to take it to the dealers 5 times to get various things looked at, first time it was an emissions system problem, but that was fixed. Some financial issues with the dealers title exchange, now it's the Bluetooth connectivity. Never buying Honda again.

Two days after I picked up this car from the dealer, the bluetooth stopped pairing with my phone or any other phone. The dealer has done an electronic reset twice to temporarily resolve the issue but it has always reverted to a state in which it can't pair. The dealer informed me that Honda is working on this issue, but seeing as how others have complained about this issue for months, it doesn't seem much progress has been made to resolve it. Overall I'm very disappointed, especially considering the push for hands free legislation. Bluetooth is an essential feature in this day and the weak response by Honda will most likely sway me from making another purchase from them.

I purchased my Honda Civic on December 15, 2015 and less than a month later the bluetooth connectivity is not functioning properly. A representative from the dealership walked me through connecting my phone to my car via bluetooth, however a couple of weeks later the connection was lost. I went through the process again with setting up my bluetooth, however, again it disconnected. When I called Honda support to report the problem, they walked me through connecting my phone and car again, however, I was not successful at that time. The representative told me that their was an issue with my phone which was preventing me from successfully connecting to my car via bluetooth. I can see that my car is paired with my phone and my phone is listed as one of the devices on the bluetooth list for my car but they do not stay connected. I have NEVER had this problem before with any other vehicle that I have paired my phone with and I found it a little insulting that the representative blamed me and my phone for the issue. This was my first time purchasing and brand new vehicle (my last car was a Honda Civic as well) and I did not expect to issues with this vehicle only week after making the purchase. I regret making this purchase because this is not the only issue I am having with this vehicle

Civic LX 1.8L

  • CVT transmission
  • 1,953 miles

Just purchased this vehicle on November 28th 2015 so I've had it exactly 1 month. So far the most annoying thing is that the Bluetooth will fail to connect which started about 2 weeks after I purchased the vehicle. I have to go into my phone and unpair it, then sync again with the stereo. It can see my phone already paired and I can't delete my paired phone out of the radio, so I have to select the option "phone not found" then it will pair it again. Sometimes it keeps sending the pair code over and over and over in an annoying loop and I can't get it to stop unless I turn off my phone. This is extremely annoying because this vehicle doesn't come with a CD Player so all I have is the limited radio stations in my area or Pandora, Slacker, Spotify, etc using bluetooth. This car doesn't have much in the way of entertainment so I all I wanted was bluetooth to function correctly. Most of the time when it malfunctions it doesn't connect to media audio but I have had it malfunction on bluetooth phone. For whatever reason sometime it only recognizes one or the other not both causing me to have to pair it a couple of times of day to sometimes a couple of times a week. I had bluetooth phone/media on my previous 2015 Honda Civic as well as my 2010 Cadillac SRX and never had the issues I'm having with the new 2016 Honda Civic LX. As soon as they come out with aftermarket stereo kits I will be replacing the factory stereo.
