While driving on the highway my power steering went out making it extremely hard to control the vehicle. As soon as I left the highway several indicator lights came on saying power steering not working, STOP driving and call dealer. Also, accident avoidance not working, lane departure not working, etc. Called Honda Roadside Assistance and had the vehicle towed to a dealer. This was at 6:00PM on a Saturday (Nov 16). Vehicle was inspected on Monday Nov 18 and everything was working fine. The vehicle history showed a drop in battery voltage which Honda believes caused the warnings to go off. I'm concerned that I had NO power steering which could have resulted in an accident.

Recall Number: 24V-744 Honda Campaign Number: MJU Service Bulletin Number: 24-118 I received the recall notice today and immediately contacted the dealership. I was told that it would be August before they would be able to fix it. They don't have the part and don't know when they will be getting the part. This is well beyond the 60-day requirement stated in the bulletin, so I am lodging a complaint as the bulletin instructed.

My car dealership in Route 23 (700 NJ-23, Pompton Plains, NJ) did not give me any notifications regarding my car recall. I found out myself from the News, so I called Route 23 to schedule a service appointment on 11/13/24. Route 23 refused to schedule me, stating that I did not receive any paperwork in the mail from Honda. I emailed my salesperson on Nov 14th, and was told to wait until further notice. I called again on 11/20/24 to follow up on this issue. They once again refused to schedule an appointment for me because they don-??t have any parts. They also said that there is no waiting list or expected date for when the parts will become available. Nor did they offer any alternative to the problem. When I addressed my safety concerns, they told me -??it-??s a waiting game-??, and refused to inspect my vehicle, saying -??there is nothing we can do-??.

This is the second recall for this HRV Sport. First was a seatbelt issue which was fixed then, now the gearbox issue has a recall and no fix. There is also an issue with my brake pedal which Honda checked and said "there is nothing to do". Also, my window keeps going up and down its sensor issue only to hear "We looked at it". I have a $550 monthly payment for a car that is dangerous for me and everyone else on the road. I want to return this car as I am totally turned off by the response of Honda. What can I do?

My car has been brought in for service multiple times due to airbag issues. After the initial repair resembling of the car panels was not done correctly forcing me to bring back the vehicle. After this on another occasional a strange rattling noise began to happen while driving the vehicle. This was scheduled for service but then the noise went away. After this another airbag issue came up saying the vehicle had to be taken to the dealer. The dealer was inititally saying the issue could not be duplicated and I could pick up the vehicle. At this point I looked up recalls and found the recall regarding steering and that noises could be attributed to this. I ask the recall be performed and was told it could not be. Another issue was however found with the airbags and repaired. I was told to get vehicle as it was fine. Since then the noise has occurred on 3 seperate occasions. Additionally while driving with lane control the vehicle has 2 twice left lane on highway forcing me to correct. I feel things are being dealt with in a very dishonest way by Honda of America and it is instructing dealers to avoid correctly diagnoising issues and falsling claiming it cannot be duplicated to avoid itself costly repairs.

The contact owns a 2024 Honda HR-V. The contact stated while her daughter was driving 30 MPH, the driver attempted to switch lanes to prevent another vehicle from crashing into her vehicle. The contact stated that the steering wheel seized inadvertently, causing the vehicle to drive off the road. The vehicle hit the sidewalk and drove into the ditch, where the vehicle hit a small hill. The air bags did not deploy. The driver hit her head against the steering wheel and sustained neck and head pain. The contact stated that the front driver's side seat belt failed to retract and restrain her daughter; however, the front passenger's side seat belt retracted even though the seat was unoccupied. Additionally, the rear driver's side and passenger's side seat belts had extended abnormally. The vehicle automatically dialed 911, and police officers arrived at the scene. A police report was filed. The contact's daughter was able to exit the vehicle and did not seek medical assistance. The vehicle was towed to Tipton Motor Sales, LLC(3840 North Expy, Brownsville, TX 78526), where the front bumper, all the seat belts, the front driver's side tire, and unknown suspension parts were replaced due to the damage the vehicle had sustained during the incident. The contact became aware that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V744000(Steering), which the contact related to the failure; however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the insurance company would need to hire an investigator to determine the cause of the accident because the local dealer was not capable of doing so. The failure mileage was approximately 4,441.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request" The steering system appears to have malfunctioned. It is available for inspection upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? I felt slight, momentary resistance when turning the steering wheel, mainly to the right. The resistance would then suddenly disappear and the steering wheel then lurched forward up to about 1" in the direction that I was turning the steering wheel, causing a bit of oversteer. I fear that this problem could develop into a full failure of the steering system while driving. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Not yet, although I have a service appointment scheduled with a dealer to discuss and investigate this problem. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure? No. When did they first appear" 10/3/2024

I am reporting a major steering issue with my relatively new 2024 Honda HR-V, of which I-??ve been driving since September of 2023. I recently started noticing jolting in my steering wheel when making even a slight turn, such as to adjust my positioning in a highway lane. It can best be described as -??sticky steering, -?? and based on recent research I found reports of other Honda consumers complaining about this exact issue. According to this article [XXX] ) it appears to have something to do with a defective steering gear part. This is extremely dangerous to my safety and makes me extremely upset that this is occurring in a practically brand new vehicle. Please help and have Honda do their part in rectifying the problem. Vehicle is brand new and has is issue where when the steering wheel is straight, the vehicle pulls left often into the direction of opposite traffic. And in order for the vehicle to drive straight, the steering wheel has to be tilted to the right. I have seen identical complaints to this on reddit and people share my concern. It is available for inspection depending on the needs to assess this issue. I took the vehicle for an alignment at the dealership I purchased this vehicle from last week or so and the issue persists exactly as before I dropped off and they seem to not have a fix for this safety issue, making me concern for my safety when driving this vehicle. (Ourisman Honda of Laurel) This puts me and other drivers at risk! A service member confirmed this issue during a diagnostics drive. The vehicle steering wheel has not been inspected by any party as they have no fix for this safety issue at this time. (potentially a major safety issue) There are no indications of this issue and have seen many owners of the 2024 and 2023 model with this safety concern on online communities. This issue bas appeared since day of purchase of this vehicle on the 20th of March and makes me question my/others safety and my purchase.

The steering is sticking. It started around 4,000 miles and has gotten progressively worse at now 9,000 miles. It makes the vehicle very difficult to drive and very dangerous in rainy conditions because I am afraid it is going to slide having to snatch the steering out of a curve on a wet road! It's like a build up of pressure where the steering wheel wants you to go in one direction and you have to break it free to be able to turn. It is a constant battle, even on straight roads. Just a constant jerking motion to even drive it straight! I travel a road every day with 4 round-a-bouts and I have to break the steering out of the curve every time. If I am sitting at a dead stop with my hand resting on the steering wheel, it's like after a few seconds the pressure breaks free and it allows the steering wheel to turn and my hand to fall to the side with it. I have never encountered such a thing! I hate it! It is DANGEROUS! I cannot believe I have a new vehicle that I absolutely hate to drive because of this!!!!!!!!!!!!! There wasn't an incident but I am putting 11/15/2023 below because that is when I had to drive it in the rain out of town and was literally terrified at the way it drove! I don't remember the exact date it started but I remember that day for sure!

My hrv has a twitching like feeling in the steering and steering sticks going around curves on the freeway. Sometimes when just driving straight I can feel the steering wheel jerking to the right. Fuel gauge is totally off. I can get to around 70miles of range left fuel light comes on and I drive about 2-3 miles and that 70 miles of Range will drop to 26 miles of range. I fill up around 12miles of Range left and it only take around 10.5 gallons to fill it up which the tank is suppose to hold 14gallons of gas. Cvt transmission is very jerky. Jerks more in cold weather and coming to a complete stop I get a very pronounced jerk
