2001 Honda Odyssey LX front passenger side coil spring was broken. The vehicle was making a terrible noise. The part was on back order. When the mechanic removed the spring form the vehicle, it was found completely fractured and jagged in various places.

While the van was parked in the driveway the consumer heard a loud noise coming from the van like metal hitting metal. The noise was due to the coil spring breaking. The van was towed to the dealer and the technician stated, "we've never seen this problem". the sliding door can't be opened from the inside.
