There's a knocking, tapping coming from motor, I was crossing intersection across a highway my vehicle stalled a bit thought it was going to die. I recently found out there was a claim out that the motors were defective as far as pistons tapping, losing power. I have contacted all I could all same same thing, sorry your warranty is expired.I have kept up with oil changes and maintenance car only had roughly 4,000 miles on it. The extended warranty does not cover miles over 10000 (if your a second owner )or 140000 if your original owner. I bought my car from enterprise car dealerships they bought it from Hyundai. My issue is I was not told about a faulty engine until it was to late. And that wasn't even from Hyundai or dealership. It was from the class action lawsuit paper. The repairs or replacement of motor Hyundai is offering excludes people like me that had no idea and have exceeded miles of their original 100000 mile warranty. People like me that had and have no clue about the issues with motor are at risk for stalling or whatever else because we were not notified about problems. I'm thankful my car didn't die on crossing highway/ interstate with traffic. My problems with motor that they knew was faulty just started at 127,000 miles or so. People need to be aware of these issues, Hyundai I feel are trying to cover up or refuse a recall to save them money.

Whenever it rains my trunk fills up with water. I through that maybe it was the lining on my vehicle but it is intact. When the trunks fills up it gets so high that it flows to the backs seats and soaking them. If not maintained properly it will cause a very bad odor and mold. It has happened when the vehicle was stationary in my driveway.

The Hyundai Elantra was stationary and hooked up to jumper cables to jump a dead car. The Elantra was running to allow the other car to charge. The fuse box on the Elantra caught fire which spread to the jumper cables and to the other car. There was much more damage to the interior of the Elantra than there was to the other car, which only had minor cosmetic burning. The fire started in the Elantra and the damage has not yet been assessed.

The issue is related to air ventilation in the car if I set the options correctly to get outside fresh air with no A/C running, after some time I feel like I am inhaling engine exhaust. Made multiple complaints but each time I was told that it's working as designed. Air vents have some issue which lets the engine exhaust get into the passenger cabin.

2015 Hyundai Elantra with 43,000 miles on it. The car vibrates and shakes while in the drive or reverse when stopped with the driver's foot on the brake. The vibration and shaking vary in intensity. I brought the car to the dealer and they said the throttle body needed to be cleaned due to rough idle. I had the service performed and it has not solved the problem. This is an issue that hyundia needs to address.

We have had problems with this car for years now. 2 of the issues the dealership could not even fix the problem. On 11/15/2016 with 12185 miles on the car, we had to replace the battery on the car. On 05/22/2017 with 15516 miles on the car, we had to replace (2) tires on the car because the tires were bald. On 11/03/2017 with 18268 on the car, we had to replace the other (2) tires on the car because the tires were bald. We had problem with the car stalling. The dealership could not find anything wrong with the car.on 01/18/2018 with 20747 miles on the car. We had a problem with a sound when the car starts. When the car starts it sounds like metal clinking. It does not matter if the car is cold in the morning or anytime of the day. When I start the car, it makes this sound. I had to tape the sound so the service advisor could hear the sound. The tech could not hear it. 02/08/2018 with 20749 miles on the car. We still had the problem with a sound when the car started. When the car starts it sounds like metal clinking.the dealership kept the car overnight. The next day the tech did hear the sound. They tested the alternator and it was bad. They had to replace the alternator on the car. After the dealership replaced the alternator I still had the same sound as before. The replacement of the alternator did not stop the sound. 03/20/2018 with 20802 miles on the car. We are still having the same sound when the car is started. It does not matter what time of the day the car is started, the same sound happens. It sounds like a metal clinking. I had a tape of the sound, the tech did not hear a thing. We are still having the same issue with the sound when the car starts. I am scared to start the car because the dealership can not find out what is wrong with it. I am scared it might blow up when the car starts because of this issue.

Don't buy Hyundai car. I was so proud of being Hyundai car owner who have two Hyundai vehicles. However, I started to dislike Hyundai. The reason is the navigating system that I got into. It pointed wrong location while I am driving to go to golf course where I did not know how to get there. I got panic in the freeway. What if it was night time in the middle of freeway" what if I was driving for the very important meeting" I could stop on the rail road or the dangerous place. Even more I had to drive one hand because I had to use one hand holding the handphone with map app directing me to the place. I had to stop in the side road of freeway. It was so dangerous. 2015 year Elantra which is kind brand new. Dealer said no warranty, Hyundai America said no warranty or recall. I found many owners of Hyundai vehecle drivers having the same problem like me. However, there is no responsiblity from Hyundai. Just pay and fix in the dealer. They should cover this by recalling. It is very dangerous. It may be more dangerous than broken break. Don't buy Hyundai they are not responsible manufacturer. They should go out of U.S.a if they do not do anything for this problem. www.Hyundai-forums.com/'/377562-nav-screen-displayin' www.gencoupe.com/'/101212-completely-incorrect-posit' nav screen displaying wrong location - Hyundai forums : Hyundai forum just bought a used 2013 Elantra limited, navigation, 35K on the odometer. July 18, 2015 returning from a 350 mile trip to miami from St. Petersburg, fla. On I-75N, experienced a harrowing driver side rear tire explosion in alligator alley about 11:30am. Hyundai Elantra has no spare tire on a leased car. Tires are hankook omnipro H-426. Multiple complaints filed about these particular tires after researching. Mileage is less than 10K miles and car is only 2 yrs. Old and was leased brand new. Have 'Hyundai roadside assistance that only tows to nearest dealership', per csr after call to report, requiring a trip back 30 miles. After explaining ordeal, tire explosion, rear bumper torn off, back light damage from tire being completely ripped apart and major backside damage from said incident, davie Florida Hyundai dealership did change and replace tire that I had to purchase. They assured us that car was safe to drive. Receipt showed multi-point inspection provided as well as wheel balance and alignment. Back on road at approx. 3:30pm, I-75N almost to same spot, (alligator alley) second tire explodes on driver side front making car inoperable; waited for 2nd tow(8pm) all the way home, arrived about 12 midnight. I am currently terrified of driving with other two tires on passenger side. Waiting to hear from Hyundai customer care about resolution,

The remote control on all Hyundai's will within a certain range will cause my trunk to open. Just the trunk. I can lock my car and come out at the mall or out of my home in the moring and find my doors still locked and my trunk opened! I discovered the culprit one day when I was parked near another Hyundai and they hit their remote before I did to unlock their car, my trunk flew open!

On January 18, 2016 I was existing a parked Hyundai Elantra and my right thump got jammed in the door of the driver side, I tried to the open the door to release my finger it was shut tight and did not release. After several minutes it finally opened causing damage to my finger. I wasn't aware that this model has such a problem, otherwise will not have rented it for enterprise. There is documentation of the problem from other people that this model has a faulty door but Hyundai motor America refuses to bear the blame for their malfunctioned car.

The Elantra that had 18000 miles on it burst into flames after setting overnight. The car had not been driven since the night before and it burst into flames in my driveway and completely burned up. The fire department had to come out and put the car out. They investigated the fire and found there was no foul play. It is unknown to us what caused the fire but we feel it had to be something electrical.

I was in a car accident where I was moving at about 2-5mph turning left and struck directly on the driver side door, the vehicle that struck me was going about 40mph and was traveling straight on the road. Both vehicles were towed away from the scene. None of my air bags, even the driver door air bags designed to go off in this type of accident were deployed. I smashed the left side of my head into the window of my car, a cut across my left clavicle, received facial bruising, a concussion, and am having ongoing medical issues related to whiplash and the displacement of my neck spine and shoulders. I also had a passenger in my vehicle who is also having on going medical issues. The driver door on this car was completely caved in and would not open, and there was damage to the back door on the driver side also. The airbags not being deployed when they are supposed to is a safety hazard to the driver and passengers in this car. Over $7500 of damages were made to this 2015 Hyundai Elantra.

I purchased a 2015 Hyundai Elantra on November 26th, 2014. The car was brand new when I purchased it. On December 23rd I noticed that my brake lights would not turn off after having parked and removed the key. I was unable to get the light to turn off, but I had a trip scheduled to visit family during the holidays. I was forced to leave the car at my house in its present state. When I reached my destination on December 24th I called Hyundai (lithia springs) to tell them about the issues and to ask them how they wanted to handle this issue. The service representative told me to bring the car in on January 3rd. When I returned to Georgia I brought the car to Hyundai. While driving the vehicle I could smell a strong odor reminiscent of spoiled milk. When I arrived at the dealership they examined the car and initially told me that the issue was with the brake clutch not depressing properly. After the technician replaced this part he returned to tell methat he was unable to correct the issue and that he suspected it to be an electrical issue. He requested that I leave the car with him so that it could be worked on and placed me in a loaner vehicle. I received a call today (January 6th, 2015) and was told that the issue had been isolated and that the car was not sealed properly and water had caused the electrical issues I was having. [xxx]. told me that the car would need to have the windshield removed, carpet removed, dried, and resealed. I expressed my concern with this and let him know that I wanted the car replaced immediately, to which he did not reply. He told me that Hyundai manufacturing would most likely not replace my brand new vehicle and that all he could do was try to fix the issues. I am truly unhappy and want my money back or a brand new car. I haven't even driven this car 1,000 miles and not only am I without a car.
