Sonata LX

  • Automatic transmission

Really trying to figure out what is causing this problem. I also have a check engine light on that relates to the fuel system but AutoZone does not have a clear answer about what is wrong with the car. It happens every time I fuel up and I feel like I'm driving a clunker.

Sonata LX 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 78,000 miles

Since 2012 our Hyundai Sonata has problems starting after getting gas. It takes several tries to start and have to rev-up the engine or it stalls out. Once it finally gets going, which usually takes a few minutes, the gas attendants and people in line to get gas look at us as if we never get our car serviced. This is really annoying and embarrassing to my wife and I...

Every time car is filled with gas, (no matter empty or half full) car does nothing but stall out..Have to brake and push gas pedal way down to get car moving, then after driving a small distance with brake & gas on, it stays running.
