I have owned my 2013 Hyundai Sonata for 4 years and I have had to change the brake light bulbs 2- 3 times each year. In March of 2019 I spent $197 for new brake light bulbs. It is now August of 2019 and all of my lights are out, even the top light. My mechanic has confirmed that these vehicles have constant issue involving blown light bulbs. He could not find a recall on it. I have spoken with other Hyundai Sonata and elantra owners and they are having the same issue.

Purchased used 2013 Hyundai Sonata hybrid on 1/18/2019. On 5/22/19 had oil changed & requested diagnostic due to accelerator issues and hitting high speed bump. Same issue occurred along with car not starting on 5/28 and brought car to dealer on 5/29/19. Dealer could not repeat issue but replaced batteries in both key fobs. Drove car to ct (from nc) on 7/12/19. Car was fine except the A/C was not cooling well. Turned car off & let sit for 10 mins. It was better. On 7/18/19 my 17 yo was in motion on busy interstate 91 South in ct. Car decelerated & alarms rang out. A warning advised "hybrid battery failure" & "safely pull over". she was able to drive to the side. Highway safety patrol came & advised her to start car again. Lights came on but engine would not. Had car towed to lia Hyundai in enfield, ct. Called 7/19, left message rtc. I asked for manager who advised the same & said he would have to run a diagnostic to see what was wrong. I called Hyundai motor America & got a ticket number. Was told that if it was the battery they "may be willing to pay and may be willing to tow car back to nc once completed" again if approved. Need tech to submit a work order req and special tow request if prior authorization was approved. On 7/22 a diagnostic was ran & sent to hma showing hybrid battery needs to be replaced. I called hma & was given a national team ticket. Service manager rich called on 7/29 advising Hyundai is requiring more tests & wants pictures. He called back to advise that Hyundai is now telling him to just replace the safety plug & relay switch. Advised Hyundai would pay 60% and we would need to pay 40%. cost was $1000 but part needed to be ordered. Can't guarantee that it will work. I spoke to nicolette on 7/29. Was told they would only pay the 60% as a good will gesture. Car purchased in January 2019 at 96610 miles & only drove till 104513.

Takata recall, I've been experiencing brakes, my steering wheel shakes when I brake, and the exterior lights my tail lights are going off and on. All these issues were from January of 2019 current date July 27, 2019. I have taken my vehicle to the dealership and mavis tire. I got a new axle, brakes, routers, new tail lights nothing is working. It's been long overdue. Hyundai dealer wants a total of $1700 to fix. I refuse when I verbal told them there are complaint from all vehicle owners that had the same module vehicle as me. I looked and there is no recall on these issues. I told them I have three little kids and I don't feel safe driving my car anywhere because of these issues. Hyundai refuse to help!!!

Starting intermitently. Starting procedure is to engage brake and then press - engine sart stop button. Auto will then start. First incident started about two weeks ago. Took vehicle to test battery, battery was bad, replace battery. Worked fine for a week. When engine is cold or hot it will take several attempts T get it started. Progressively getting worst, more attempts to get started. Also at times getting a message on screen that says, battery discharging.

My sockets constantly melt, the connector for my starter melted and my car would not start Hyundai wanted me to pay thousands to replace my wire harness when they are aware 2011-2014 have electrical issues, also my lights do not turn off I have to unhook my battery every time I get out of my car. My brake lights do not turn off while driving so nobody knows if im stopping or notand every Hyundai I see seems to have the same problem. I know it is a defect that they do not want to claim. I have had my engine replaced, also my brakes go bad extremely fast due to an issue with my axles that were mysteriously replace a month before I bought the car but they wont cover me because im a second owner.

We have a 2013 Hyundai Sonata (VIN #[xxx]). this vehicle has had problems with the cruise control and other functions controlled from the steering wheel for many years. The clock spring was replaced while under warranty and again in January 2019. The same issues that led to the clock spring replacement recurred two months after the latest replacement. An extended warranty for the clock spring for 2011-2013 Sonatas was issued in 2017. This extended warranty covers Sonatas with an sop before June 20, 2012. Our car was purchased in late September 2012 and is not covered by the extended warranty. Given the recurrent issues we have had, we a are asking that our vehicle be covered by the extended warranty. Problem with my Hyundai Sonata 2013 gls taillights/brake lights are not turning off. The car is off, key out of the ignition, lights switched off and foot not on the brake and lights are remaining on. They stay on throughout the night and day. The worst time is while driving, they remain on as if I'm driving with my foot on the brake. This is ridiculous. I am left to figure it out on my own as there is no recalls and I refuse to pay the dealership for something that should clearly be a recall. With hundreds if not thousands of people reporting this issue with Sonatas from modules dating back that I can tell from 2007 to current. I refuse to get this car agai and as soon as I can sale it consider it sold!
