The week of 2/3/20 I reported my vehicle's lose of power at interstate speeds and the illumination & chiming of the check engine light. I took the car to the dealer where they ran engine diagnostics and began an oil consumption test. On 3/2/20 the vehicle again lost power on the interstate. Again I took it to the dealer where they did the T3G campaign. Yesterday 3/17/20 the engine light came on and remained on for 5 starts of the engine. The dealer could not replicate the symptom on 3/18/20. The vehicle failed the oil consumption test by 363 miles and the dealer is submitting a claim for a new engine. This model year car has serious defects and may not be safe to drive.

When I have the "lane departure" running it cancels out the "blind spot detection". the dealer has recalibrated the sensors twice an finally told me I couldn't operate both of those two items and the same time. This occurred going down the road, city or highway or city streets.

8-10 times in the past year while driving car in freeway hybrid system warning comes up prompting to safely pull over and turn off car. Car then starts slowing down. Have taken the vehicle to Hyundai service 4-5 times and they keep finding broken parts that dont fix the problem.

Restarted again engine light stayed in got home where I was temporarily staying, waited a few hours restarted no warning lights.was a Friday, messaged service mgr, he was off called Monday car brought in Tuesday. Error code off on board diagnostics was P1B70. They loaded software update 19 hc 002H service bulletin. Car 2015 this problem was a issue with earlier years..still around unfortunately. Should have been a safety recall..cars are dying while driving. Dealer expressed opinion that this should resolve issue if not call immediately.

I was driving on the highway when I noticed the RPM's dropped to zero and the accelerator stopped working. I was able to safely pull over with medium traffic traveling at 70 mph.

All dashboard lights are turning on. The car loses power steering. The car will at times not turn on. This happened a few months after I purchased the car. Hyundai can't seem to find the problem. The problem eventually goes away by itself for a few months and reappears again. We had the fuel sensor and battery replaced. They said my alternator and starter is still good. The car never stalled during driving only looses power steering which can be dangerous while driving. We noticed when we adjust the steering wheel up and down, it cleared the issue for a few months as well. I believe 2015 Hyundai Sonatas are experiencing electrical issues. I read online other owners having the same issue.

I must start by saying that english is not my first language, Korean is and I would like a translator when I am called for reference. On 07/16/2019 I purchased a 2015 Hyundai Sonata from carvana and have run into the following problems: The battery was not the correct size for that model car, the engine air intake was completely missing, and the supercharger blew up 4 days after I bought the car. I have sent an email to carvana but never received a response. I have more documents pertaining to this matter that are too large to attached and will be able to send them via email.

The contact owns a 2015 Hyundai Sonata. While driving various speeds, the 'check charging system", "safely stop", and "do not drive' indicators illuminated. The vehicle was coasted to the side of the road and towed to all star Hyundai of baton rouge (225-274-0071, located at 10313 airline highway, baton rouge, la 70816) to be diagnosed, but the technician was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The failure recurred several times and the vehicle was taken to eddie tourelle's northpark Hyundai (985-801-7000, located at 953 highway 190 North, covington, la 70433) where another diagnostic test was performed; however, the cause of the failure could not be determined. The failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that based on the diagnostic tests by the two dealers, which yielded nothing, they could be assist. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 20,917.

I believe my vehicle may have a faulty headlight/signaling switch. Whenever I am driving it will randomly switch between the modes of drl, headlights or just off completely. Another issue I have more often then not is when I am trying to signal the blinkers will not turn on at all, and when they do its about 30sec to a minute after I initially moved the switch myself. All this happens while the car is in motion, lastly their have been three occasions where I have turned my car off completely and then came back hours later to find that the drl lights had turned on on their own, 1 out of the 3 times so far this issue has drained my battery. I feel like this might be a issue with the wiring inside the switch.

I am experiencing problems with the steering. The steering has dead spots and feels extremely loose, it is very stressful keeping the car strait on the highway as it is all over the road. The steering light comes on but the dealers always tell me "we can't find any codes". there was a loud what he thought was an "electrical" sound in the front end while turning the steering wheel as the service manager at tameron Hyundai put it. Instead of checking the steering they put struts on it, which has made the problem 1000X worse now the alignment is off which they can't seem to fix and with the steering problems makes it nearly impossible to drive. Whenever it rains the steering light comes on and the steering wheel either stops responding or becomes hard to steer. I put new tires on it less than a year ago that have less than 10,000 miles on them and have rotated them twice at 5,000 miles the alignment is so bad that one tire is now bald! every time I go to a dealer they refuse to help. I'm putting this here in case I die in this car! also the engine hesitates and shakes violently when starting. The shaking is when it ideals, but on the interstate when you press the gas it "pulses" and hesitate while accelerating (I hardly get a chance to test to see how bad the hesitation is because the steering is so lose) I am now finding out the 2015 Sonata engine is effected by the massive defect they have had in 2011- 2014 models but are not making it publicly known. One would think with all the steering and engine problems Hyundai has had in the past Sonata's they would take this serious. All they do is blame customers, if you call their customer support line they will tell you they closed your case in less than a day without looking at the car. I hope the government gets this company under control for consumers sake and safety sake.

When the right indicator was turned on, the left indicator lights came on. When the left indicator was turned on, the right indicator lights came on. When the indicators are turned on the first blink or two is the wrong direction, then it switches to the correct direction. First time was on an interstate, other times around town.
