I left my car parked in my driveway for five days. Good weather. Upon my return I started it up and the airbag safety light was on and remained on. I immediately contacted the dealer and set an appointment for the next morning at 7:30 am. After some friction about them wanting $85. To diagnose the problem (car under extended warranty), a defective driver side impact sensor was found and replaced at no charge. Unfortunately I failed to ask for the old part.

My 2006 tuscon (6 months old) was struck in the driver's side between the driver and rear seats by a 2002 Cadillac. The driver of the other vehicle was cited for failure to yield and traveling at an estimated 35-40 mph. I was traveling approximately 30 mph. My tuscon flipped over 4 times. Of 6 airbags, not 1 deployed. The side impact did not deploy upon impact. The roof-mounted side-curtain did not deploy upon impact or when it rolled.
