The front passenger door does not open from the outside. It unlocks and can be opened from the inside. Once opened from the inside after being unlocked, you can close it and re-open again from the outside leading me to believe this is an electronic issue, not a hardware issue with the latch. After researching it seems this is a consistent problem with Hyundai. Having all doors work is certainly an safety issue. This happens while in park with the vehicle on or off.

The car doesnt go when you step on the gas, pulling out in traffic is dangerous. The problem exasturbated when the cars 1st 15 minutes of running. And anytime I go from a complete stop for longer than 30 seconds, there is little momentum, whether I'm turning or going forward. I have to use the 7 speed manual to ensure safety pulling out into cross traffic, the results could be deadly. The car has been brought in several times, but route 60 Hyundai, vero beach is rude! getting a loaner for this recall was horrific the 1st time, and they wouldn't give me a vehicle the 2nd, 3rd or 4th time. #2 the doors and windows, the passenger front door and the passenger rear door, do not open from the inside or out, as well as the passenger window no longer operates, god forbid there is an accident, there is no escape. This vehicle has had 4 recalls, 1 being the transmission issue. This vehicle gets scarier every day, and I am disabled already. I dont want to die in this vehicle.

I have one door handle (back passenger side) that has broken off, one door handle (front drivers) starting to fail where I have to pull it 2 times to open the door. Also, the front 2 windows will no longer roll down and the back passenger window will not roll up. I am unable to fix the back passenger side window due to the broken door handle that has completely made the door inoperable from inside or out and is extremely unsafe as a passenger in the back seat can not exit through that door.

The right rear passenger door will not open after being locked and unlocked. If you tap firmly on the outside of the door with the car unlocked, the door will open and close just fine until the doors are locked again. I went to get my 1 yr old out of his car seat last night and the rear passenger door wouldn't open from the outside or the inside. It was unlocked. I've read multiple complaints so this is a known issue and a huge safety concern if there was an emergency and I had to get him out quickly. Also, in Korea, the original country of Hyundai, the national consumer report Agency announced, in December 2019, of this issue and requested Hyundai motors to correct this problem and Hyundai has accepted to repair this known issue to the consumers. Hyundai has failed to implement this fix in us and it is a very big expense that the customer has to bear for a safety issue. Upon investigation I found that the rear door-lock latch actuator assembly is the problem component that has some sort of cheap plastic causing the issue and the entire assembly needs to be replaced. I have uploaded the pictures of the latch assembly that requires a replacement.

In a short amount of time, 3 of my 4 doors open unreliably and one will not open at all. It started with the front passenger side door. You always must pull the handle 2 to 4 times to get it to open. It seemed only an inconvenience, and it was quoted as very expensive to fix, so I just ignored it. Then a few months later, the same thing happened to my front driver's side door. It alwas takes 2 to 4 attempts at pulling the handle to open. Again, I chalked it up to an inconvenience, but it was starting to become very concerning. The reason I write is that now (just weeks after the second door's reliability issue started), my rear right passenger side door will not open, no matter how many attempts you make. The two front doors do open on the first attempt from the inside as they should. However, the rear right passenger door will never open from the inside or the outside. This is not a child lock issue as I've never used them. It simply stopped working. The door is useless. This is a very dangerous situation if someone in the back seat needed to get out of the car in a hurry. I researched online to see if others have this problem, and it appears to be quite common on Hyundai Tucsons - I saw many people describing the exact same problem. The dealership is asking anywhere from $400 to $1000 to fix each door! as this is a safety issue, I feel that it strongly warrants consideration for a recall thank you for looking into this matter.

Child safety lock was not in use and the car was unlocked using the key fob. There is no way for a person to enter or exit the vehicle through that door. Vehicle was parked. This is clearly a safety issue because in an emergency riders would be unable to exit the vehicle and could become trapped inside. The driver also needs to be able to quickly enter the vehicle. Hyundai dealer identified failed latch assembly as the problem.
