Summary
SITUATION: AN ISSUE HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED ON A LIMITED NUMBER OF VEHICLES WITHIN THE LISTED AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE WHERE IT HAS BEEN REPORTED THAT UNDER SPECIFIC DRIVING CONDITIONS, THE DRIVER MAY INADVERTENTLY PRESS THE ACCELERATOR AND BRAKE PEDAL AT THE SAME TIME, WHICH WILL CAUSE THE BRAKE SYSTEM OVERRIDE TO APPLY. IN THE EVENT OF THE BRAKE OVERRIDE SYSTEM APPLYING, IT WILL SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCE THE ENGINE TORQUE OUTPUT AND MAY CAUSE CONCERN FOR THE DRIVER. INVESTIGATIONS HAVE IDENTIFIED THAT THE LATERAL SPACING BETWEEN THE BRAKE BOOSTER AND ACCELERATOR PEDAL MAY BE THE ROOT CAUSE AND THEREFORE THE RELEVANT REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS HAVE BEEN INCLUDED TO HELP STOP ANY POSSIBLE OCCURRENCE OF THE REPORTED CONCERN.
