Over the last 2 weeks, while driving my Jeep has lost power. No warning light or anything, my Jeep just dies. It will say "shift into P, then select gear" after I have lost power. My lights/radio/bluetooth all still work, but I can not break nor accelerate nor steer. I was nearly T-boned this am, and nearly rear ended last week.

As of lately, the speedometer toogles up & down through a set of numbers even after attempts are made to reduce speed especially when on cruise control. During cruise control vehicle accelerates beyond set limit & requires extreme force to decelerate. It happens randomly as does many dangerous issues mainly after a software update takes place with the vehicle. If the updates don't cause acceleration concerns it causes vehicle to shut off in traffic & over the last several months a few high risks for major traffic accidents were only avoided by the swift maneuvering of other vehicles or myself when possible to avoid collision. Never before experienced so many malfunctions of mechanical/technological problems from a vehicle. As for if the vehicle was stationary, in motion, on a city street or a highway, turning, braking etc when these issues occured the answer would be my Jeep has stalled, loss speed, shut off and/or speed up under all these conditions. Dealership has me bring it in and they flash the system to "correct" the problem. That is until the next update or some software malfunction causes unexpected scary incident to arise like now with the cruise control that needs addressing.

I was driving down a hill at about 20 mph when my vehicle started stuttering and then shut off. The car pulled up a message on the dash that said, ' vehicle must be in park to start the vehicle'. this was absolutely terrifying. I placed the car in park and then restarted the vehicle. This has happened 2 more times since then. Car is scheduled to be serviced.

2016 Jeep Cherokee 4X4 won't start. When finally start, it shuts off the ac system. 3 times the vehicle was stationary in a parking lot. The vehicle shuts down while on my way to work on a busy street. The battery is still new according to a a tester.

The automatic stop system stopped working. The car turns off when I stop and I lose all power. It happens almost every time I stop. It is scary because I lose all power. The a! light pops up when the cars restarts and then it disappears when I turn the car on and back off. Other sensors pop up for the transmission power steering and 4 wheel drive like something is wrong with the sensor system or the automatic start system not sure what the issue is but it's scary

First the car kept reporting that my front left tire was low and even after I checked the pressure, it continued to do so. It took several hours for it to stop. Now I have a 'service shifter' error and all of the lights on my shifter are on. I hear a high-pitched electronic sound when I shift into drive. I have read several forums and there are consumers reporting that when that happened to them, their wheels locked up and the car completely stopped. A few of the cars were totaled! I am going to call the dealer in the morning. Apparently this very dangerous problem has not happened enough for Jeep/Chrysler to consider a recall. One last note: When these errors light up on the dash, you cannot access any other information. You cannot even see your speedometer.

My 2016 Jeep Cherokee started having issues. On my way home from work the service transmission message popped up on my display and engine light came on and had absolutely no acceleration capability. Managed to stay with traffic and proceed to the off ramp to a gas station. I followed what it's said on owner manual: Turn off the car and turn on the car while on natural for few minutes and the message went away but the engine light was there for a while and got turned off it self. But the next day same issue happened again. I took the car to Jeep dealership, they did not have a transmission specialist to check the car. I had to make an appointment with another dealership, the appointment is for tomorrow. Interesting is the manual says after resetting should not drive the car because it might cause engine problems, and should have dealer to check but the dealers don't check the car right-away they give you appointment for few days later or a week later. I had this car for year and half I drive 3 miles from home to work I don't understand why the car should have a transmission problem at this early stages. I don't feel safe driving this car. Not happy at all!

A light on my dashboard came on while I was driving at 55 mph that read "service transmission". the odometer stopped working and my car didn't seem to be functioning properly. Stopping at a light, my car nearly stalled when I needed to cross over an intersection. I had to have my vehicle towed to be serviced the following day. I was told by the service station that the issue wasn't with the transmission- but that the car needed a software update. I could have been hit when my car nearly stalled driving across the intersection. I addressed my concern with fca, but was told that software updates are routinely needed and should be done at the same time as my oil change. My car only has 5300 miles and is only driven short distances (mostly on the weekend). This issue should not be happening with a car so new and such little mileage. Also, my car has been kept updated with the necessary oil changes. I don't understand why I am not notified ahead of time if my car needs these software updates" am I just expected to cross my fingers and hope this issue doesn't occur again" this issue greatly affected my safety. And my car wasn't drivable. It's both a major safety concern and an incredible inconvenience.

First of all, this is a brand new vehicle. I bought it 6 weeks ago and it has less than 3000K miles. The vehicle was in motion and it shut down/ stalled out. How can a new vehicle just loose power? the dashboard told me service the transmission. The emergency brake light came on and the check engine light came on. The Jeep sat in the median of a 4 lane busy highway just running. It took an hour for roadside service to have a tow truck to come to me. My baby, puppy and I were just stranded in the middle of a bad storm. Jeep knows of this. They don't care about their consumers. Now my life is in danger with this piece of crap. Crap that costs me $26K! the tow truck driver told me I was his 4th customer today with the same problem as the others who have this exact model. Please do not buy! your life will be in jeopardy or at the hands of an unmerciful company. The dealership told me they didn't even want it back. I'm just stuck!
