Flash: Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Updates
This bulletin involves reprogramming the PCM with the latest available software. Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find that the one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) have been set: P06EF - Engine Restart Performance. P0456 - EVAP System Small Leak. Customers may also comment on one or more of the following: Extended engine crank times or possibly a no start condition(South Korea with Sales Code EDD only). The engine fails to restart while in Engine Stop/Start (ESS) mode. This is usually accompanied withDTC P06EF.
