As I was driving yesterday my vehicle just randomly stalled out on me and after searching I find that this was an issue that lead to a recall. My vehicle at times will shutter/hesitate or whatever you want to call it which is also described in the recall. I don't believe this issue was properly resolved when the previous owner supposedly had it fixed

While driving my Jeep continues to stall and stutter and gives off multiple error codes. I get my 4 wheel turned on, ABS, fuel pump, and an electrical code that is a lighting bolt in a set of parenthesis. This is happening each time I am driving and the car slows to about 10 mph then begins to stop driving.

I have repeatedly got my car sent to a repair shop for screeching transmission & brakes. Every time no one can find an issue and the next day the noises will come back again. Recently once again my check engine light turned on. I have constantly stated there is obviously something wrong with the engine or transmission since the first month of buying this car, but no one can find anything so everything is good with the car apparently. Its not safe do something & I've filled a complaint before and gotten no response. Recent incident: The car is currently was stationary when I tried turning on my car and the check engine light came on. The past incidents: I was in motion on a 40mph road and the car completely shuts off. The repair shop took a crank piece out but that's not main problem since 2 weeks later my car doesn't want to turn on. Consumer stated she found the problem with the sensor.

My car was driving fine. I was going down a 45mph road and then the transmission meter needle rises and then drops to 0. my car engine shuts off completely. I try to turn it on but it makes a sound with no start. Eventually after about 5min it starts up again & I hit the gas peddle to only get shut down again and the check engine light finally comes on. This isnt the first time & I recently got it check by the dealership. They said it was fine but I know its not my gut is saying the problem is associated with the recall Jeep had down on this car back in 2014. There are articles all about it and I tried explaining to them but I guess cause its a lot of work and money no one wants to open the engine.

The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Compass. The contact stated that while making a left turn at 10 mph, the check engine and throttle control warning lights illuminated. The vehicle shuddered and stalled. The vehicle was driven to the residence where it was diagnosed by an independent mechanic. The contact was informed that the engine control module (ECM) and power train control module (PCM) were defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. A dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown

My etc light came on as I was lsitting at a stop light.complete loss of power and could not accelerate past 20 mph. I turned the car off, let it sit for a mintue and restarted and everything was fine. But then after a few more minutes of driving it happened again

Driving on I70 & I81 going 70mph engine loses power. Was able to get off the road shut down the vehicle. Once restarted seemed fine but does this out of the blue and dealer can't mimic

While traveling on interstate 80 in the passing lane my 2014 Jeep Compass lattitude 2.4L shut off for no reason. I managed to get to the side of the road and got stopped. I turned off the key and restarted the engine. This happened three more times before I got off the interstate. This has happened about 8 times so far. The dealer says they have to duplicate the issue, but sometimes it goes weeks without happening.

The manufacturer was contacted and did not assist. The failure mileage was 69,000.

The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Compass. While driving 65 mph, the rpms would go up and down and the vehicle would jerk, lunge forward, and lose power without warning. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the catalytic converter failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of marlow heights (5060 auth way, camp springs, md 20746, (301) 423-5111) was contacted and a second diagnostic appointment was scheduled. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 98,716.

While driving, the engine loses power and throttle control, traction control, and check engine lights came on. Vehicle goes into "limp" mode and won't accelerate above 10-15 mph. This seems to be a recurring problem with this vehicle, but there isn't a recall. This is a major safety hazard.

The engine stalled and cut off while I was slowing down while driving on the freeway. The car went completely dead, I could not turn on warning lights and cars were running fast behind me. After 2 minutes of turning the ignition to try to start the car, the dash lights went back on and the engine started again. The car also cut off when I was slowing down in traffic behind other cars.

When in motion, when braking to allow a vehicle in front to turn when attempting to accelerate vehicle hesitates and lurches front to back numerous times before resuming acceleration. This occurs at highway and city speeds. Vehicle has been taken to a mechanic multiple times with no sensors or issues found.

There were no warning indicators illuminated. On one occasion, the engine completely failed. The vehicle had to be towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the wheel bearing and alternator needed to be replaced. The manufacturer and dealer were not notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 82,000. The VIN was unknown.

My Jeep Compass want to stall when I press the gas! it has been doing it now for 2 days and it does not happen all the time but did almost cause me to wreck on a highway yesterday! this has happened on highways and side roads. The car has not stalled out completely but it wants to and when in does it causes the car to jerk and lose speed. My car only has 33,000 miles on it.
