On a cold rainy night in up-state NY there was no heat in the car and the windows fogged up so bad that I had to stop due to the danger of not seeing the road. The failure is consistant and causes fogged windows and the auto can't be used during very cold weather. The blend doors were broken.

Visibility: Defroster/defogger system:windshield:blower passenger side ac doesn't blow as well (as hard as) the driver side vent, and the air that does come out is hot. It's the opposite in the winter when the heat is on. Passenger side only minimal blowing and the air is very cold"??" also affects the defrost on the passenger side. No warm air on passenger side, window will not defrost causing visibility issues!!!!!!

Grand Cherokee

  • 51,000 miles
2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited. Blend doors are broken and dealer wants over 2200usd to repair. This should be a factory recall. The ordinary working class person cannot afford this repair. Because the blend doors do not open, you cannot get heat or ac. Consequently, there is no defrost, making driving extremely dangerous.
