We had the latest recall repair completed for stalling while driving, it was a fuel pump relay I believe. I think we had it repaired in February/March. However this morning while driving to work our jeep stalled while slowing down to turn, the battery stayed on but the engine completely stalled & the power steering went out almost causing us to drive off the road. Luckily the brakes still worked but we had a semi behind us that nearly missed us as it also turned onto the same road.

Vehicle's engine stalls unexpectedly while driving. The car was bought in 2018 and the engine stalled for the first time in February 2019. The engine stalled again in June 2020 and twice in February 2021. The engine stalls while driving usually while making a right turn. I was in danger because the car suddenly went dead with cars behind me. I could have easily been rear-ended in all of those instances. Recall was performed, but engine stalled again about two weeks after the fuel pump relay was replaced. The engine stalling while driving causes the car to stop suddenly, and it can result in injuries, car accident, loss of life and or property damage. Lester glenn dealership is where I bought the car from and they were the ones who replaced the fuel pump relay. They had the car for two months after I brought it in when the engine stalled again after the fuel pump relay was replaced. Chrysler was contacted and they closed the case due to the dealership telling them that they cannot reciprocate the issue.

While the vehicle was parked, unoccupied, locked, and the motor was not running, apparently the driver's side seat caught fire. I did not see the actual flames, but I did open the driver door to find the bottom cushion and most of the electrical wiring in the driver seat melted and charred and a thick layer of soot on everything in the vehicle.
