I received a recall notice for the brake booster in May. I called my dealership in early June and they told me they were not receiving parts to fix this in a timely manner and I had to go on a 12 page waiting list. I called today to find out the status (2 months later) and they could not find me on the list and told me they would put me at the bottom again. This is not acceptable - when a recall is made, the manufacturer needs to have the parts available to service these vehicles and the dealership should have a better way of keeping track of things than a handwritten list. The dealer told me it isn't a problem since it's not yet freezing out, but if I have to wait months again as I already have - it will be winter and not safe to drive the vehicle.

I received a brake booster safety recall notice in June - P14 NHTSA 14V-154. I called the dealer today August 4th to set up an appointment for the repair ([xxx], traverse city, mi). The dealer service rep informed me that they do not have parts, only get maybe three parts a week, and said I could be on a waiting list which now has over 30 people. I said at that rate it could be months before the safety recall is completed. He said he had no information about when the repair might happen and agreed that they (Chrysler) were not being very responsive. I got on a waiting list and was told they would call me if they get any parts. What is the purpose of a safety recall if the manufacturer and dealer cannot provide any service or commitment? information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

In may, 2014 we received a safety recall notice. Since we live in san diego ca but were at our cabin in Minnesota we couldn't bring our Jeep in until June. So, June 30 we took our Jeep to midway Chrysler Jeep in san diego. They said we needed a brake booster shield. They had to order it from the main Chrysler location and it would take two weeks. After three weeks we called and they said they hadn't received it yet. It has now been five weeks and we are really concerned. In four weeks we leave for a driving trip across country through the mountains. What can you do to expedite this repair so that we can make our trip safely?

I received a recall notice for my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee which the dealer was aware of on 5/29/14 in reference to brake issues that could result in a complete brake failure. The parts were ordered, but as of 7/18/14 the dealer claims the replacement parts have still not been received from Chrysler and have no idea as to when the parts will be available. I think the loss of brakes is a serious issue and after having been reported 6 weeks ago the issue is still unresolved!

I was driving home from a ski weekend in upstate NY in January and traveling on the interstate at approximately 65mph, the temperature outside was below freezing and I went to apply the brakes to slow down for upcoming traffic and the pedal was hard and the brakes did not engage, I pumped the pedal and remained calm and hoped that the power would come back to the pedal and luckily it did after a 3 pumps to the pedal and took about 5 seconds. We avoided a near fatal collision if it wasn't for my quick thinking and remaining calm. I brought the car into westbury Jeep who told me nothing was wrong with the brakes and returned the car to me, I then continued to have the problem reoccur on cold days when the temperature was below freezing. The dealership did nothing and now a recall was issued for the exact issue I described and the dealership still refuses to repair it because they don't have the part. I want the repair done asap!

Received recall notice concerning brake booster. Took car in and was told they could not replace the part as there is a back log of over 250 cars needing repairs and there is a shortage of parts. This is not acceptable. There is a safety recall and owners cannot get it repaired for up to 4 months. Advised family if I am injured or killed in accident to sue Jeep/Chrysler!!!

The end of may I received a notification that Chrysler had a defect on there 2011 through 2014 Jeep brake booster, when I called one of the dealership they told me to call back the next week because they did not have the part. A week later I called Chrysler and informed them of my conversation, they took down my information and told me they were going to order the part and call me within a week. This never happened I called Chrysler again July 2 and spoke to another representative and they told me they still did not have the part and that they will let me know via phone when the part comes in. I am very concerned having this defect can have consequences on any given day. What happens if my car is the one that has a defect and I get into an accident? what happens than to my family. The brakes are very important in any car.
