Bushing and body bushing on front of the vehicle, squeak very loudly anytime the vehicle is in motion, or when someone enters or exits the vehicle, the added weight to the vehicle, causes the vehicle to squeak from the front underside of the vehicle, every bump or ruff spot in the road, turning the steering wheel either direction, even the slightest causes very loud squeaking, the squeaking is present with simple rocking of the steering wheel. The steering feels tighter and simple turns require more body muscle use, when the vehicle is both in motion and stationary. The squeaking/rubbing is present, at all times, when even the slightest amount of movement or position changes from driver/passengers inside the vehicle. Feels like the front of the vehicle is about to fall out, or that the friction from the rubbing or pieces in the front/ front suspension, is going to cause something to wear down and break, which could cause control of the vehicle to be lost, and could result in an accident, that could potentially be fatal. When I do a general search for recalls on my particular vehicle make and model, it shows 2 regarding the front suspension, and ball joints, however when I search recalls using my vehicles VIN number, it shows '0 unrepaired recalls' but I have never had any recalls repaired on my vehicle, and the recalls that show active, fit the issues going on with my vehicle, and I'm not sure why my 2005 Jeep Liberty renegade, fits into the vehicles with the recall concerns present and active, but my vehicle doesn't show and one that need to be repaired based on the active recalls.

Purchased a 2005 Jeep Liberty in the state of Wisconsin, a state that has excessive cold and icy weather, streets are heavily salted. The Jeep I purchased has had several recalls, major was the rear end control arm, which the dealership repaired. 2005 Jeep Liberty also has major electrical problems which causes the engine cooling fan to short out. Having it to be frequently replaced once a year. 2nd major problem is the front right control arm assembly front upper left and right. Along with wheel hub assembly, both corrodes and can cause the steering to brake into, resulting in a lost of steering causing a major accident while driving. These major mechanical problems needs should be recalled, so they can be replaced or repaired. I've taken the Jeep to different repairs shop and was told the Jeep are known for safety issues including electrical and control arm problems and to check for recalls.

I noticed when driving my 2005 Jeep Liberty, when I came to a stop or pulled off, I would hear a noise underneath the back of my car, sounding like a jarring sound, like something was loose..my car's steering wasn't as relaxed as it should have been when turning especially..this noise kept getting louder, I eventually had it towed to the shop because of this problem and a issue with the thermostat..to find out my rear drive shaft had popped.

The front lower ball joints failed a second time and were replaced again per nhsta id # 06V-288 recall F23. The official mopar website says faq says that "Q once the recall is completed, what is the warranty on the repair if the recalled component fails again" a if there is a subsequent failure, we will review the situation and if, in fact, it is for the same condition as the recall, fca us will repair the vehicle for free." I am being told by a fca case manager that there is a 2 year 24 month warranty on the parts installed as part of this safety recall. The mopar website faq makes no mention of this and I can not be told where to find this 2 year 24 month warraty. Why isn't fca following their own policy stated to the public? why is fca being deceptive and inaccurate? how should this falsehood be addressed"

Here is the problem, will not schedule an appointment for the replacement rear lower control arms. This is a follow up complaint to the one I filed on 4-18-18, id# 11120806.on 1-4-19 I received a call from debbie of specialty parts about the original complaint. Different from the first representative not knowing why the dealer wanted a inspection before ordering the control arms, debbie stated that was a corporate decision. ( you would think that having dealt with this recall in one form or another over the past seven years they could get this straight.) her reasoning was that fca had to inspect my vehicle and replace required parts before they could put on the new lower control arms. I asked what parts required inspection and she said my shocks.I told her those don't attach to the contro[ arm she then said that they would have to check my control arms and check the VIN to verify I had not gone to a junk yard and replaced them myself. I asked her if she knew what the control arms were and she stated she was not a tech. She also told me that they do not tell their customers all they have to do to a vehicle in a recall. NHTSA, I would think if they state that they do not tell all that they do, they may not have told you all the issues either. There is no other way to interpret this conversation other than, "we need to inspect your vehicle and replace parts at your expense to minimize damage to our bottom line." I asked to speak to her supervisor and debbie state she did not have one, no one above her. I ended the call.I have received the second recall card. Again it states to schedule your free repair. They will not do it. All I want from fca is what they stated they would do. Replace both rear lower control arms. Stop playing games.

The steering got hard and felt like the ball joint on the control arms lock up ; the door locks cycle continuously and now driver door, left rear passenger door and back tailgate will not open, horn will not blow, radio will not work, and interior lights won't work. The steering problems happen while driving on highways and when making turns of any kind the slightest movement of the steering wheel will car is moving makes erratic navigation in anything other than a straight path. The door locks cycle on and off while driving and also not moving and without the car being started and is as rest without key inserted in the ignition cylinder. I am fearful for my grand children to ride in the car with me and very concerned of a failure that may jeopardize their safety.

This concerns recall U38"NHTSA 18V-278 that says fca will replace both rear lower control arms. Does not seem to be that straight forward. The attached file is the email received from fca and my original questions posted to them. I do not have a copy, but I replied to fca email asking whose recall is it, fca or their dealers" they did not address why different dealers are giving different infomation. I also asked what is the dealer going to inspect as it appears that the arms are corroding from the inside out. According to the recall paper work, fca says the arms must be replaced. Why should I be required to do two dealer visits because the dealer wants it that way. Fca is not taking ownership of the recall and is allowing different dealers to treat customers in very different ways, which amounts to no one is hooering the recall as printed.
