Safety recall N01 / NHTSA 13V-233 reprogram occupant restraint control module this Jeep Patriot passenger seatbelt unlocks itself. When there is pressured applied to belt and it unlocks. It scares me because at times I have passengers such as my daughter and if anything happens to her or anyone else that is riding in my car I dont have a clue to what I would do.

The contact owns a 2011 Jeep Patriot. The contact stated that the driver's side seat belt failed. The driver's side seat belt was cut from the clip area in order to be released, at the advisement of the dealer. The contact stated that the seat belt clip was defective. The manufacturer was contacted and denied any assistance with the repair. The seat belt was not replaced. The failure mileage was 34,000 and the current mileage was 35,000.
