Flash: Electric Power Steering (EPS) Module Updates
This bulletin involves updating the EPS module with the latest available software. Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find that the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) have been set:C1013-49 - Half Module Faulty - Internal Electronic Failure. U1702-64 - Electric Power Steering (EPS) - Signal Plausibility Failure. Both DTCs listed will be set simultaneously.In addition, the customer may notice one or more of the following:A ?Lane Assist Malfunction/Feature Not Available? message displayed in the Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC).
?Lane Sense Off? message appears in the EVIC while driving, simultaneously turning the lane sense off. Power steering system warning lamp is illuminated on the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC)Fig. 1.IPC Warning Lamp
