Takata recall: In July 2016 I received notice for driver and passenger air bag safety recall. At that time no replacement parts were available & I was told that availability was unknown at that time. In early December I was notified that parts were available but now for only one of the airbags and that was repaired. However, as to the 2nd airbag, again the parts are not available and there is no known date when the parts will be available. This is unacceptable. To be told that there is a defect and now waiting over 5 months for complete repair is not right and extremely disconcerting. Why may Jeep take so long to repair this dangerous problem?

Takata recall took my car in to Jeep (santa monica) on Thursday September 1st. Did not mention the recall. Tried to trade car in on Sunday to Toyota, was told about the recall. Went back to Jeep on Tuesday September 6th. The clockspring issue was taken care of, however, I was told to wait for the passenger airbag recall. Recall has been issued for over two months and has not been resolved. It is not only an inconvenience for someone who needs to trade their car for another vehicle, but it is a danger to myself every time I step into my car. I now can not in good conscience take another passenger in the vehicle with me, which is causing a disturbance to my life and my work. Jeep continues to refuse to repair the airbag, replace the car, or refund my purchase price minus depreciation.
