The contact owns a 2009 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while refueling the vehicle, gasoline fuel would spew from the fuel tank onto the contact and the ground. The contact had not yet taken the vehicle to the dealer regarding the fuel tank failure. The contact stated the failure was a major safety issue that could potentially cause a fire. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 17,100.

Gas overflows from tank through fuel filler neck as gas pump shuts off. Can happen without topping off fuel. Fuel runs down side of vehicle. Possible fire hazard ?
