I was driving to work on a straight road that eventually came with a slight bend to the left. As I approached the bend, my steering wheel would not turn to make the bend. I had to pull with both hands on the left side of the steering wheel to make the turn on the bend. After pulling hard I was able to make the turn on the bend. It was a close call to crashing into a corn field if I wasn't able to make this bend in the road.

I was driving down the highway going 50mph and the front end started vigorously shaking so much that I had to pull over and stop. It shook me to the point that I was dizzy. I was told that it was called the death rattle, however when I took it the the dealership to get it fixed I was told that it is no longer called that. My 2019 Jeep Wrangler along with other Jeep currently have a poorly manufactured steering box that is only marked as a service bulletin instead of a recall. I recently experienced an unsafe and uneasy steering issue on my recent road trip on my 35,000 mile Jeep (stock). Ping ponging in between lanes and having close calls with others on the road because of the wandering and slight pull the Jeep has at highway speeds which can be anywhere from 45mph-70mph. I'm hoping this will be addressed promptly and with urgency for all Wrangler owners to keep the roads safer for everyone.

While driving on the while driving on the highway at about 60 mph and taking a slight left or right curve we hit an expansion joint on the bridge. The front wheels started shaking uncontrollably until I came to a full stop on the side of the road. Very dangerous safety concern, especially on a car that has not been off-road and with less than 18000 miles and no modifications. This issue is very well documented all over the internet.

When on the highway, it starting shaking vigorously. I had to slow down to stop it from shaking. I went from about 70 mph to about 35 mph in order to stop it from shaking. I tried looking up what it could be and found that it's been called the "death wobble." I've also checked it for recalls and nothing came up at this time. I tried calling fca, however after being on hold for more than 2 hours, I hanged up. I hope you guys can help with answers on this as it seems that I'm not the first one to experience this. While driving on the highway at approximately 70 mph, the Jeep began to shake (wabble) violently. The steering column became hard to control due to the shaking of the Jeep. Slowing down did not seem to help so I pulled off the freeway and came to a complete stop. This alleviated the issue temporarily. However, the shaking/wabble occurred 6 more times during my 200-mile trip. I took my Jeep into the dealer to get fixed and waited 3 weeks for the part to come in. During this time, the wabble happened twice at freeway speeds (65 mph+). both times, I had to pull off the freeway and come to a complete stop to remedy the issue. My servicing dealer replaced the steering dampener as they said that was the issue. Unfortunately, at freeway speed, I encountered the shaking/wabble again. Speeds of 50 mph or less do not seem to trigger the shaking, but it occurs intermittently at speeds over 50 mph. As long as I am in the slow lane with room to exit the road, it is safe to drive. However, it is a huge safety issue if there is no way to exit the roadway when it occurs as the only way to stop the shaking is to come to a complete stop.

I was driving a 2019 Jeep Wrangler that I bought at the end of January 2020, I barely have 3,300 miles on it, due to covid and remote working. I was driving on rte. 287 South doing 70 mph I must have hit a bump or imperfection in the road, all of a sudden the whole car started to violently vibrate and shake, I had to go from the left lane over to the right shoulder while slowing down to about 30 until the shaking stopped and also was able to exit to a local road. I've driven this highway several hundred times and never had this problem, thankfully the roads are not as crowded as they usually would have been and an accident was avoided. I have read online that other people have had this same issue of a "death wobble" but I have not received an official recall from Jeep or Fiat Chrysler automobiles.

Bought the 2019 Jeep jl certified used Nov 24. Told the dealer that the Jeep pulls to the right and the vehicles alignment might be off. The told me they did alignment and everything is good. At highway speeds the Jeep wanders all over the road it is very hard to control. I will be bringing it to a different dealer because it does not feel safe.

The steering is loose and vhicule wanders at highway speed. It's very difficult to keep in a straight line at highway speed. Feels extremely unsafe. The dealer bas changed the stearing dumper and that's no better. It's been like this since the purchase in December 2019.

The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving 25 mph, while getting on the highway the steering wheel began to shake aggressively slipping out of the driver's hands. The contact pulled over then eventually kept going. The failure recurred several hours later while using cruise control at approximately 90 mph. The contact slammed on the brake pedal until the vehicle stopped and then continued to drive. The failure recurred approximately 30 times. The contact took the vehicle to michiana Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat (120 w mckinley ave, mishawaka, in 46545; (574) 807-0414) where a diagnostic was still pending. The contact referenced tsb: 08/074/20 regarding the electric hydraulic steering unit. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 14,200.

The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at 55 mph, the vehicle rolled over a bump on the highway and the steering wheel started to wobble violently. The contact slowed down to 25 mph and regained control of the vehicle. The contact continued driving to his destination. Westbury Jeep (928 jericho tpke, westbury, NY 11590, (516) 280-6076) was contacted and informed that the contact there was an issue regarding the steering damper. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and it was confirmed that the vehicle would be repaired and the dealer and manufacturer was obligated to pay the cost for the repair. The vehicle was not yet repaired due to parts not being available. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 18,000.

Many times, my Jeep is doing unsafe wobble like the wheels are going to come off. Going at speeds of 55-65. Very hard to handle and keep on road. Took to dealership and they said there were no recalls. Couldn't find anything wrong. I have a handicapped daughter and this is a huge safety issue. It would happen also when going over railroad tracks or simply down the highway.

While driving my 2019 Jeep Wrangler jl on a highway, at about 75 miles per hour, the front end of the vehicle started vigorously shaking from side to side. It felt as though the front tires were going to fall off. I had to reduce to a speed of lower than 50 miles per hour (which is unsafe on a highway that runs 70 miles per hour) in order for the shaking to calm down. I took the vehicle in to Jeep that same day and reported the issue. After 2 days, they informed me they could not re-create the issue and therefor did not find anything wrong. They made no repairs. Fast forward to about 9 month later and it has happened again. I was driving on the same highway today. At about the same speeds, and experienced the vigorous shaking of my steering wheel and front portion of the vehicle.

On 11/7/20 while driving from harlingen, tx to houston, tx at an average speed of 65mph the Jeep would shake uncontrollably and very aggressively causing me to reduce speed and switch lanes hitting the brakes only made it worse. In October 219 I experienced the same 'death wobble' driving 65mph on the highway when going over the overpass. The dealer said normal and would replace the damper to help but normal. This is not normal and is unsafe especially when driving with children in the vehicle at high rate of speed.

When the vehicle hits 25-35mph, the power steering cuts out completely and can only be controlled via aggressive wrestling with the steering wheel. Vehicle was towed to dealer 11-2-20. Dealer reported that they could not replicate problem and that I probably needed a new power steering pump but that the part is on back order until 4/2021 and that I should come and get the car. II was also told that I was #20 on a list of Wrangler rubicons that are waiting for this part and that they only get one power steering pump from the manufacturer every 30 days. I picked up the car on 11-9-20 and the power steering cut out immediately on the drive home once I hit 35mph. So, I currently have a Jeep that has broken power steering that is sitting in my garage and no solution being offered from the dealer/oem. This car is not even 1 year old.
