The vehicle underwent replacement of its ICCU in July-August 2023. I was without the vehicle for 4+ weeks. last week the car flashed a warning to immediately stop and check the power supply (with no instructions on how to do that. ). Was advised both by dealer and Kia not to drive, but to get it to the dealer for service. The following day the vehicle was completely dead. The vehicle (my only transportation) was towed as advised and is once again at Kia service while I-??m currently without a vehicle. Was told the ICCU is the likely problem.

The contact owns a 2022 Kia EV6. The contact stated that the vehicle was not charging properly, and the battery was draining very quickly. The vehicle was taken to a dealer but was not diagnosed; however, a software update was completed. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

On April 13, 2024, when I started my vehicle, the instrument cluster immediately flashed the following warning msg surrounded by a flashing red circle: 12V Battery Very Low Stop Safely I turned the vehicle off, waited a few seconds and when I started it again the message did not appear. I contacted KIA USA and received a Recall Inquiry Case #. On April 18th, when I started my vehicle the same 12V Battery Very Low, Stop Safely msg displayed. It did not disappear upon restarting. Within 5 mts ALL the electrics were dead, including the instrument cluster AND the parking/emergency brake control AND the Vehicle Start On/Off button. I am very fortunate I was not driving on the highway when this occurred. Ditto for other drivers. My vehicle had to be towed to my dealer/service center. The tow service jumped the 12V battery and was able to drive it up on the flatbed. Today (April 23rd), my dealer/service center representive informed by the 12V battery tested okay, and the vehicle diagnostics they ran have not revealed any issues with the vehicle electrical system. They have been unable to reproduce or confirm the problem so far. My vehicle is still at my dealer/service center. What occurred is identical to the issues identified in the NHTSA Recall No: 24V-200 & KIA Recall No: SC302.

While driving at night under raining conditions with the auto highbeam enable the Kia-??s HUD will get so bright at times that will white out the drivers view making nearly impossible to see. Kia-??s is refusing the fix the issue because they can-??t replicated even with a video I provided and I even found another persons video on YouTube, as well as several owners on a forum complaining about it.

After starting the vehicle and beginning to back out of a parking space, a loud pop was heard from the rear of the vehicle. Immediately, a "Check vehicle electrical system warning" appeared on the dashboard, followed by "Stop vehicle and check power supply". While attempting to drive to a safe location, a continuous warning began to sound along with a dashboard warning to stop immediately. The speed of the vehicle was limited which could have caused an accident when driving on public roads. The vehicle was towed to the dealership where it is waiting for diagnosis. During the tow, the vehicle was unable to move under its own power. The symptoms appear to represent a failure of Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) (NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V200000). There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure.

Heard a loud pop noise as I was driving. Check Electrical System warning immediately flashed on the dash and vehicle slowed down while I was driving. Moments later, vehicle entered "turtle mode" allowing for restricted speeds. Vehicle then flashed error message about 12V battery having low charge. Vehicle continued to reduce maximum speed until it came to a stop minutes later. No previous symptoms and all TSBs and recalls had been performed on the vehicle. Tow truck was necessary to get the vehicle to a dealer. Vehicle currently with the dealer awaiting assessment and diagnostics.

While driving my car on March 7th, 2024 around 2:30pm an error message popped up "Stop vehicle and check power supply" and speed of the car was noticeably limited. Thankfully I was able to pull to side of the road and called road side assistance as car was undrivable, the 12 volt battery was completely dead. When tow truck arrived, a jump park was required to put car into neutral in order to get onto tow truck. If this happened in a freeway this could be a risk if we are not able to stop at a safe location. Towing services was able to tow my car to the dealership about 15 minutes away, upon unloading vehicle onto lot, taking an Uber home as no loaners are available, asked the next day about getting car into diagnosis and was told that it would take 2 weeks to get in to be looked at, and now it sits until they are able to diagnose a known problem, even the sales manager at this dealership has had same issue on 3 different EV6's. He assured me they know what to look for when it comes to the issue. After doing some research this issue, it is a well known issue with Hyundai/Kia cars and it looks like the ICCU module needs to be replaced. And Hyundai/Kia EVs and was supposedly addressed in a recall done in late September of last year, yet I have gone back and made a complaint with Kia regarding this issue, but in their eyes it was fixed in the recall. This new issue now goes under same case number associated with the charging interrupted error, where charging stops after 10 mins, took to dealership had the update done and still same issue. Continued to have problems charging on level 2 charger, even at a lowered amps. Lowering the amount that is recommended by the manufacturer and still having the same issue. Thank You.

When driving at 35 mph on level ground, a loud "pop" was heard and the vehicle immediately lost power and warning messages having to do with the 12V system appeared on the instrument panel warning that the car needed to be pulled over in a safe spot and turned off. The vehicle was transported to a local KIA dealer via flatbed and has now been at the dealer for more than 30 day. So far, the 12V battery, the ICCU, the inverter and ICCU fuse have been replaced.

While driving my car on [XXX] around [XXX] an error message popped up "Stop vehicle and check power supply" and speed of the car started to decline. I could not drive more than 20mph on a main street that had a speed limit of 35 mph. Thankfully I was able to park at a Ralphs in a safe place before the car died. The 12 Volt battery died. If this happened in a freeway this could be a risk if we are not able to stop at a safe location. Towing services was able to tow my car home but I had to keep a portable jumper connected to the car so I can move the car on the flatbed since I couldn't put the car in Neutral for towing. I replaced the 12 Volt battery the next day, but the issue persists and the next available appointment is on April 1st. Upon researching this issue, it is a well known issue with Hyundai/Kia cars and it looks like the ICCU module needs to be replaced. Please look into this issue. 12 Battery drains out so fast and so often. Even if it is charged overnight externally. it drains out so fast that after driving some distance and after switching off, it does not come back up and we cannot start the car and have to use a jumper to start the car. My car is car dealer for 2 weeks and they are unable to find fix, though they have opened a ticket with Kia Tech and they have 7 such cars as of today facing the same issue.

The vehicle completely lost power while driving. My wife came down a dirt road hill, made a left onto [XXX] in Duxbury, VT, heard a "clunk" from below the car, and experienced total power loss. An error flashed on the screen that read "Critical Battery System" and then, soon after, "Stop Car Immediately." She was able to coast 1/4 mile (downhill) to a school parking lot. The car was towed to a dealership where the dealer replaced the inverter (ICCU) and the paperwork stated "DC/DC Converter input voltage sensor fault." The car had 25,896 miles on it when the incident occurred. The total power loss was extremely dangerous, and we were lucky it did not occur on a highway at a higher speed with more cars in proximity. I see online that NHSTA had previous reports of this issue both with the EV6 and the Hyundai Ioniq. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
