My 2015 Sorento (original owner) just flat out died while driving in the left passing lane on interstate 85N from the airport in atlanta (in the pouring rain 6/8/2019) and without any warning. Not only did it just stop running "everything died" no lights, no hazards; no power windows etc. It would not even acknowledge the key fob. The SUV was completely dead. I was so lucky to not have been hit by another vehicle. Once the hero truck pushed me across 8 lanes to safety; I had to have my SUV towed to the dealer. The diagnosis: 'the alternator and battery were both bad and had to be replaced for 1500.00'. what?? of course, the warranty had just expired the month before; mileage just had turned 50K. I was completely shocked as no indicators of anything going bad occurred. No warning lights; no hesitation starting; no dimming lights, no noise; etc.' It had full power; everything was normal! my SUV had 'every maintenance' performed on time and was still 2K away from its next service. This incident not only placed me in a very dangerous situation it troubles me greatly there was no warning at all. Again, no indicator or symptom of anything wrong. This SUV is my 2nd Sorento and will be my last Kia. I do not feel safe in this brand of vehicle. I want to add my first sorrento; (2008 ex model, I can supply a VIN too) also had a major repair event occur right after its warranty expired (within 2 months); the rear differential went bad and had to be replaced. I really wonder if this is a trend with Kia; major issues occuring rsoon after warranty expires; major repairs/costs are the result; not to mention the issue placing you in a dangerous situation without warning. Something is wrong here. I have never experienced this with any other vehicle I have owned right neither right after a warranty expires or even close after and when I do? both were sorrento's

The vehicles engine just stalls out and shuts completely down. Kia keeps saying camshaft sensor but yet they have replaced it three times in the past 2 months. It's the engine and it's not safe!! I've read many reports on this happening to others. I was driving down the highway and it just stalled out. I had to shut the car off and restart it and it kept happening. This is not safe! I have three children with me and I just about got hit by a semi. Lawsuit in the making. This needs to be recalled asap!

Headlights (mainly low beams) keep burning out and need be replaced about every 6 months to year and half. This time when I needed to replace the left low beam bulb, I noticed the bulb was out when I was jumping the car due to a dead battery. A day later the battery was dead again so I took it out and had it tested. The dealership said the battery was fine. Came home and tested the power to the headlights both when the car was running and completely off (all lights as well as engine). Power is running to the headlight even when the car is off and not enough that the headlight illuminates but enough to constantly drain my battery if the car sits for more than 8 hours!!!! looking at others with the same headlight issues as well as many saying wires had melted and some fires happening. This problem should be looked into further. I will update if able to when I find the cause

Returning from a trip to California, the Kia had just turned over 30000 miles on the ks turnpike when the engine oil light came on. We stopped and checked the oil, it was fine. We had had the oil changed before the trip so it had less than 3000 miles. After checking the oil, we resumed the trip. Within a mile we heard a knocking sound, the car died, we pulled over and the car engine was on fire. Called 911, within 15 minutes the firemen arrived and extinguished the fire. One of the firemen said it looked electrical and seemed to be centered in the front of the engine, the fan blades were melted and all wires and all rubber hosing melted. Kia refused to cover the warranty and the insurance company said the car was totaled. I've enclosed picture of the fire and the damage.

Tire pressure sensor did not light up at any time while driving on 95 in rush hour morning traffic forewarning me of any problem with my front right passenger side tire which tire somehow immediately completely deflated while driving. I immediately pulled over to the right side of road and called for road side assistance. The tire pressure sensor did night light up until the tow truck driver removed the flat tire from my vehicle. When vehicle was take to mccafferty in langhorne, service manager advised me that I should have had the tire checked out as soon as the tire pressure sensor lit up and it would have avoided complete deflation. The tire pressure sensor did not illuminate at any time until the flat tire was removed from the vehicle. A replacement tire will now cost me $ $159.
