Vvt solenoid fails when oil reaches around 2500-3000 miles, rendering the car unable to pass emissions inspection until repair. Cleaning the solenoid works for awhile until eventually failing. Replaced on my own for around $60 for the part. 3 years later that solenoid began failing too.
