Summary
"ISSUE: SDD IS UNABLE TO CONFIGURE ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO COMPLETE ANY CONFIGURATION BECAUSE THE CAR CONFIGURATION FILE (CCF) APPEARS TO BE LOST AS A RESULT. THIS ALSO AFFECTS PDI - IF PERSONALISATION FEATURES ARE REQUIRED TO BE CHANGED. IF THE CAR CONFIGURATION IS VIEWED IN THE FROM THE ‘SESSION ACTIVE CAR CONFIGURATION’ SCREEN, THE CAR CONFIGURATION STATUS WILL SHOW A RED CROSS FOR THE GATE WAY MODULE (GWM) AND THE BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) AND A YELLOW EXCLAMATION MARK WILL BE SHOWN FOR THE AS_BUILT. (SEE ‘ACTIVE CAR CONFIGURATION SCREEN.JPG’ FOR REFERENCE) CAUSE: SYMPTOM DRIVEN DIAGNOSTICS (SDD) IS UNABLE TO RECOGNISE THE VEHICLE VIA THE CCF. SDD IS NOT SETUP CORRECTLY FOR A SMALL NUMBER OF L538 14MY - MULTI-CAN CCF VEHICLES. SDD IS UNABLE TO QUALIFY THE VEHICLE SPECIFICATION AND FORCES THE TECHNICIAN TO MANUALLY ENTER VEHICLE SPECIFICATION DATA. - THIS MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL THAT DATA COULD BE ENTERED INCORRECTLY BY THE TECHNICIAN. (SEE ‘UNKNOWN VEHICLE SPECIFICATION.JPG’ FOR REFERENCE)."
