Summary
"SITUATION: THE HEATED FRONT WINDSHIELD MAY NOT OPERATE AND EVIDENCE OF HEAT DAMAGE MAY BE FOUND IN THE ENGINE JUNCTION BOX (EJB) / UNDERHOOD FUSE BOX. DIAGNOSIS MAY DETERMINE THAT THERE MAY BE SIGNS OF VISIBLE HEAT DAMAGE TO EITHER THE HEATED FRONT WINDSHIELD FUSES, HEATED FRONT WINDSHIELD RELAY, OR THE EJB / UNDERHOOD FUSE BOX. CAUSE: AT AMBIENT TEMPERATURES APPROXIMATELY BELOW 38F/4C, THE HEATED FRONT WINDSHIELD AND HEATED REAR WINDOW WILL TURN ON AUTOMATICALLY. THIS MEANS THE HEATED FRONT WINDSHIELD AND HEATED REAR WINDOW MAY BE ON FOR LONGER PERIODS OF TIME WITHOUT THE DRIVER KNOWING. THE EXTENDED OPERATION CAN RESULT IN OVERHEATING OF THE FUSES WITHIN THE ENGINE JUNCTION BOX (EJB) / UNDERHOOD FUSE BOX."
