My wife involved an accident when she was driving crossing an intersection in the city of pomona, ca. She was impacted by the crossing car on the driver's front and side plus the left rear passenger's side right behind the driver. The car was totaled, but none of the front and side airbags were deployed during the impact, which caused the left clavicle bone fracture, head injuries, and leg injuries to my wife. The car was confirmed to equip with side curtain airbags, and knee airbags.

My car is included in the takata airbag recall. It has been more than a year since we were notified of this problem. To date it has not been fixed and there is no clear date when they will be able to fix it. I've been instructed by Lexus that the remedy for now is that nobody can sit in the front passenger side seat. That is totally unacceptable. I feel as though they are dragging their feet in the hopes that as time goes by, more of the older cars will be taken off the road so they won't need to be repaired. We need action on this, it is a major safety and convenience issue.

Despite repeated follow up on my part, the replacement still has not been scheduled and the dealer says that Toyota has not provided the needed parts. I am very concerned about the potential danger.
