SSM 47910 - 2019 MKC - Without Lane Keep Assist – Advance Trac, Hill Start Assist Message(s)And/Or Stability Control Indicator Lamp Illuminated With DTCs U0420 And U0415
Some 2019 MKC vehicles without lane keep assist may exhibit an advance trac, hill start assist message(s) and/or the electronic stability control/traction control indicator lamp illuminated with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) U0420 stored in the anti-lock brake module (ABS) and U0415 stored in the power steering control module (PSCM). This concern may also result in additional DTCs. DTCs U0420 and U0415 may have been inadvertently set as a result of low system voltage during a vehicle start. If a vehicle exhibits DTCs U0420 and U0415, charge the battery, clear codes and restart engine. If DTC U0420 and DTC U0415 do not reset, no further action or repair is necessary. If DTC U0420 and U0415 do reset, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 206-09 for normal diagnostics. Engineering is investigating, monitor OASIS for updates.
