Recall was issued June 2016. Rec'd update in December 2017 stating not to allow anyone to sit in the front passenger seat of my car to prevent injury or death. I am a one vehicle home and this is not possible. There doesn't appear to be any hurry to fix the recall, as it has been almost 2 years but if something happens you the blame will be placed on the vehicle owner. I feel you should either fix the issue or provide a safe vehicle to use until a resolution presents itself.

Called Lincoln dealership was told not to use passenger seat until parts are available. Mileage on vehicle is 75000.. contact called Lincoln customer relations center and got no help. Then called beasley Ford in york pa - April 2017.

-takata recall- I have been waiting since June 2016 to get a possibly deadly airbag replaced. Neither Ford or Lincoln customer service can give me an exact date that the airbag can be replaced, they are only saying possibly in spring in 2018. I drive around my two young children in this vehicle almost daily and I am worried sick of being in an accident. I have asked several dealers about loaner vehicles until parts are in, but I am told they are not. They are also saying that as long as there is no one sitting in the front passenger seat that the airbag will not deploy if in an accident, however my husband was in an accident (alone) in a Ford flex just last year and all front and side airbags deployed... so I do not know if I believe them, and have no idea how they can guarantee that statement if a car is in a bad enough accident.
