Takata recall. Have tried to get Lincoln dealership to replace the airbag and they said no parts are available to them. I want to sell or trade my vehicle and can not due to possible injury to a person. How do I get the air bag replaced so I can move on with my life and not get sued if I sell the vehicle? it has been years since I was notified I had a recall on my vehicle.

I recieved the notice in January 2017, called and was told they do not have the part. Now I recieved notice that the part manufacturer is filing bankrupcy and that unless I put the new parts on the vehicle now they will not be held responsible for injury occuring after Dec 27, 2017. I asked the dealer if they noted how many calls I have made and they say no. Now I call 18003923673 and report this problem and I get a case # caf13428966. Do I get a part no.has this changed the fact that after December I can take my chances on my own no. I want to be put into a safe vehicle until the part is installed in my car.

Takata recall - we were notified more than 9 months ago about this recall and they still have not gotten the parts to replace this. How safe are these airbags" why are the car manufacturers still not replacing them? we have been patient but if this is a true safety issue- how are they getting away with not correcting it"
