On some 2017 CX-5s, the Accessory Lighted Door Sill Trim Plate (DSTP) accessory may not light up after installation. This is likely caused by an incorrect magnet location. The current installation instructions suggest that the installer close the door firmly with a light slam when installing the magnet, other wise the magnet will end up in an incorrect location. To make sure the magnet location is correct during installation, a new paper template has been developed.
