Summary
Effective immediately, MSP56 has been suspended until further notice. MSP56 was launched to prevent 2019 Mazda3 5dr vehicles from locking, if the keys are left inside the vehicle. There have been reports of Body Control Module (BCM) failures during the update process, and in the worst case scenario, a loss of vehicle mileage in the odometer. Until further notice, DO NOT update or reflash the Body Control Module (BCM) or LFU using MDARS unless directed by the Technical Hotline. Claims will not be accepted with repair dates beyond 12/16/2019. If the keys are accidentally locked in the vehicle because MSP56 was not performed, the liftgate opener will still open the liftgate and the keys can be accessed through the rear hatch.
