Takata recall. In May 2016, I received a notice from Mercedes Benz that my car is affected by the recall. I have written and called Mercedes Benz usa and my dealer a number of times since then and they tell me that they do not have the replacement air bags yet. They say they are waiting on NHTSA to get manufacturers to get the replacements made and out to the auto dealers. Now that takata filed bankruptcy, manufacturing the airbags has become more of a problem. It is hard to understand how a problem with the airbags started in 2013, expanded greatly in 2014/2015, and the consumer is still not able to get the recalled airbags replaced. Corporations must be held responsible. I see a lot of documents about this, but it seems like very little is getting done to get the airbags replaced in a timely manner. When can my family expect to get the replacement airbags installed and be safe riding in our car?

In May 2016 I received notice of a pending airbag recall on our 2011 Mercedes C300. In talking to Mercedes today they will give no timeline for the airbag replacement., just that it is still pending. How much longer must I wait and worry about an airbag that might kill me! thanks for your help.

Takata recall. I continue to call Mercedes to replace the airbag and they continue to communicate that there is no eta at this time for replacing the airbag which means there's a pending status part replacement. What can I do at this point? I'm an accident waiting to happen in my opinion. No accident has happen yet but who wants to wait for it to happen!
