Power steering unavailable following engine start, warning message in instrument cluster.
Fault codes in electric power steering control unit (N68).
Fault code details/freeze frame data of the fault codes show the following values:
P063500: "The electric power steering has a malfunction. There is a component fault." - Mon_ID 40
P063547: "The electric power steering has a malfunction. There is a runtime error." - Mon_ID 33
P063509: "The electric power steering has a malfunction. _" - Mon_ID 938
Cause
Software error when starting the electric power steering control unit (N68).
Remedy
Perform software update of electric power steering, control unit N68.
