Mercedes-Benz AG ("MBAG"), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that
on certain Model Year (â??MYâ??) 2012-2016 GLK-Class, E-Class, ML-Class, GLE-Class, and GL-Class
(204, 212 and166 platforms) vehicles, an incorrect NOx sensor, Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF),
Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) catalyst and/or Particulate Matter (PM) sensor may have
been installed, which may not correspond to the specifications set forth in the â??BlueTEC updateâ??
Approved Emission Modification (AEM) program. The incorrect hardware may potentially result in
increased exhaust gas emissions.
What Weâ??re Doing
MBUSA will conduct an Emission Service Campaign in which an authorized Mercedes-Benz
dealer will check and replace (if necessary), the necessary exhaust system hardware on the
affected vehicles
