6/26/2013 - driving on heavily traveled road with congestion. Car started lurching and felt like it was starving for fuel. Wrench symbol lit on dashboard. Vehicle continued to move but at a drastically reduced rate. Able to pull over with near misses with accident. Stopped and restarted car, all indicators were cleared and was able to get home. 6/27/2013 - symptoms happened again.

Vehicle randomly sputters then the throttle completely stops working (dangerous condition at speed) and I have to coast to the side of the road while it is constantly sputtering and then have to put it in park, turn off the ignition and then turn it back on which appears to reset it. Took it to dealership over a month ago and they are still waiting for the part (on back order). Called Ford and they finally filed a case number, but still could not give me a date for when the part will be available. Fyi yesterday it happened about 7 times going to work and another 6 on the way home.

On 6/12/13 and 6/13/13 there were 4 incidents of sudden loss of power. Two occurrences were turning after stopping at a traffic light and two occurrences were from driving straight ahead on a city street. In all instances there was a sudden loss of power, the car did not respond to depressing the accelerator petal. The engine did not stop but seemed to shutter. Fortunately the traffic each time was light and I was able to steer the car to a safe location where I turned the engine off and restarted the engine. After a engine restart the problem went away. If this had happened during a peak traffic period or on a crowed freeway the results could have been a major crash.

I had stopped at lights and after accelerating up to apprx 45mph the car become unresponsive when pushing on gas. My first thought was my transmission had went out. I coast over to the shoulder and then the car begin to vibrate and run rough so I shut car down. The "wrench " light came on. I had car towed in and after 3 days and the dealership talking to Ford it was decided it was going into the "limp" mode. The fix was a new throttle body. The throttle body part was backed ordered. Per the dealership there was a change on the throttle bodt part due to issues and was back ordered. Parts took about 2 weeks to get and car was repaired and I have been driving for 2 weeks with no issue. I do understand that the car has 80000 miles on it but I seen on the internet where the circuit board and this throttle body had been a on going complaint.

This has happened to me so many times and I really don't deserve to have to come out of pocket and pay for this. My car is still under a power train warranty bug seems they do not cover a throttle body replacement. I was driving up I -20 going at least 75 mph and the car looses all acceleration and as I pull over it starts to shake, so I cut it off and crank if up again and it drives perfect until it decides to do it again. Dealership told me it would cost $500.44 to replace the throttle body and Milan's are having this issue. I'm so disappointed in Ford. Recall recall recall before someone gets hurt or die. We need to start a class a law suit.

While in the passing lane on interstate 81, the throttle body caused my vehicle to enter "limp mode". the engine RPM immediately reduced to idle and I coasted from the passing lane to the right shoulder. The engine continued to idle so I drove to the first available exit, entered a service station and shut the engine down. I called my local Ford dealer and they told me the throttle body replacement would not be covered since the vehicle warranty had expired.

2010 Mercury Milan hybrid suffered front end damage due to surge acceleration during parking. No floormat problem involved..unexplained rapid movement while brakes engaged. Damage to front end substantial but no one hurt. Mercury dealer/geico in process of repairing. Geico feels recall applies to this model.
