- West Plain, MO, USA
Crankshaft broke. The vehicle was towed to the dealer of purchase and it was determined that the crankshaft was broken. It was reported to Ford Motor Company for replacement and was rejected due to 16000 miles over warranty. I feel that this crankshaft had a manufacturers defect and should be replace by the manufacturer at no cost to me. I was told that if I wanted to have the crankshaft analyzed, I would be responsible for all costs. I feel that this type of component should not fail with only 52000 miles.
