There is water on the driver side floor underneath the carpet. The ac has not been on and still we had water on the driver side when it rained alittle last night. I see alot of complaints regarding this issue and there seems to be a poor design.

It looks like that the Mitsubishi Endeavor has design defects where the A/C water leaks inside the car. I started to notice water under driver and rear seats. I thought that this is due to rain but when I took it for repair the mechanic told me that this is due to the A/C and the water is not draining out instead it is draining inside. I also went to the dealership here in jacksonville, fl and they also told me that this is a know problem and happens with this model. They told me that I have to either replace the compressor for $800 or they can clean and do something that will temporarily fix the problem costing $189. They also told me that there is no recall even though they know that this is a manufacturing defect. There is no guarantee that this problem will not happen even if I replace the compressor. Which is insane!!! searching the internet reviled that a lot of people are having the same issue. So far I drained more than 3 gallons of water from under the driver and rear passenger seats. I cannot use A/C in hot Florida weather. So much water inside the car can also cause short circuit even fire. I believe this is a serious problem which Mitsubishi should recall and fix.

The contact owns a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor. While parked, the contact noticed that the front drivers side floor mat was moist. The contact also stated that when it rained, water entered the vehicle and moisture accumulated on all of the floor mats and floor boards. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostics. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.

The drivers side floorboard is always wet. The dealer indicated it will cost $365 to fix. Seems that internet forums indicate this is a design issue and not simply a plugged air conditioning drain line.

My 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor has some sort of problem that seems to be the same to many others. The floorboards are soaking wet and are causing our feet to slip when pressing on the brake and gas pedals. The carpet is constantly covered in mold because of all the moisture and the smell is misty and sometimes unbearable. My entire family suffers from severe allergies and the mold just makes them worse. I also have a newborn and the air in the car is just horrible to breathe. My windows also are full with condensation in the mornings and it is sometimes impossible to remove all the water from my windows which causes some trouble while I'm driving. I have not fixed the problem because there is not a dealership near by and I also do not have the funds to pay for someone to fix it.

2004 Endeavor, driver side leak - water found under the brake and gas pedal when air conditioning in running. The entire driver side mat is soaked with water. Leaving the pedals slippery and causing a mildew smell in the vehicle. The slippery pedals are unsafe enough, now I am worried about the mildew growth in my vehicle.

2004 Endeavor, driver side compartment filled with water. Water leaking into car from behind gas pedal area making driving hazardous with wet slippery gas and brake pedals. When no compressor is run there is no water, but you cannot get rid of humidity and internal window fogging without running the ac/defrost function which puts more water on the floor. Mold is growing across the floorboard of the vehicle from repeated water leak. Dealer advised faulty washer at hose drain connection, requiring entire dash be removed. $1000 repair for a $1.50 defective washer in dash. Alternate repair recommendations online require a new hole be drilled in firewall to replace washer from backside.

Constant water leak onto mainly the driver's side floor board. It has also happened on the passenger side. I am vacuuming out over 1/2 gallon of water every couple of days during the summer. I'm guessing this could lead to mold and/or mildew buildup and corrosion to the floorboard. With all I've been reading online, this is a known Mitsubishi problem, but apparently they aren't willing to fix the problem. I also have issues with the air conditioner just blowing hot air after extended periods of time.

I have owned my 04 Endeavor unlimited when it came out, drove it off the lot. I continue to own it to present date 09/09. I noticed the paint job at the top of vehicle and lg areas on the hood as well as areas at top of the brake light at rear of car are wearing down to the primer. I feel the paint job was not done properly and feel Mitsubishi should be held responsible for repainting. It was declined saying it exceeded the mileage specification. 3yrs or 36,000 miles would warrant a new paint job. What happened to bumper to bumper warranty which is what was understood at the time of purchase?

2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor, over the pass year are so the black paint has been fading away and they only paint the spots that has faded (why not repaint the hold thing and same time they agree it is a defect). This next problem is current, 12-1-2008 I can not remove the key from the ignition after I put it in park and just rotate the key to turn off the SUV the rotation stop and I can not remove it or began to force it to home position my key as of today 12-2-2008 is still in the ignition it will just rotate enough to turn the motor off and that is it, will this fall under the current recall of the electrical ignition problem.

Dear sir/madam, I have a black 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor which has serious paint issues on the hood and the top of the car. The paint is deteriorating rapidly on surfaces that are most exposed to sunlight. The paint has premature aging and turns a white color. The car looks like 10 years old. Tried to solve the problem with the service managers but they are telling that my warranty is not covered this problem. According to the research that I made on the internet, there are hundreds of Mitsubishi owners that have the same problems with mitsibushi Endeavor. Also, it looks like it is a standing policy at Mitsubishi motors to intentionally thin the clear-coat on their automobiles in an attempt to save money up front. I hope you can help us to solve this. Thank you.

My 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor has some sort of leak right behind the dashboard similar to the one on complaint #10204166. My fan blower motor was replaced due to water damage and more water keeps coming down from behind the dash. Mitsubishi in the bronx wants to charge me a large amount for a repair that is a manufacturer defect. Can someone help me with this issue.

2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor 4X4, at the time I reported the rusting problem I had under 20,000 miles on my vehicle. It has heavy rust under the back seats, on the hinges that operate the seats, the coil construction of the seat, the area where the jack is stored and the jack itself. I notified the company and there response was that this was normal. I can find no one else who agrees with this statement. I have pictures available and would like help in this matter. My daughter and I both have allergies and if there is that much moisture in this vehicle I am afraid that there may also be unseen mold that could be harmful as well. I feel I have tried to resolve this nicely, but they are not willing to do anything about it.

Ltr fm james G. shciller (NY) re an investigation of his 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor. Opening the rear right window created a loud thumping/vibrating noise when driving above 40 mph. Respond directly to the constituent & copy to senator's NY, NY ofc. The noise/vibration was so severe when the rear window was opened, that it caused pain to the occupant ears and head, therefore the rear window had to be closed immediately. The vehicle was taken tot he dealer but they were unable to correct the problem.
