SIDE RADAR ALIGNMENT
SERVICE INFORMATION
The SERVICE INFORMATION in this bulletin can be used in conjunction with the ESM if
experiencing difficulty while performing Side Radar alignment, including but not limited to
the following DTCs:
ï· C1E50-54 - SIDE RADAR ALIGNMENT
ï· C1E50-78 - SIDE RADAR ALIGNMENT
ï· C1ED0-54 - SIDE RADAR ALIGNMENT
ï· C1ED0-78 - SIDE RADAR ALIGNMENT
ï· C1E10-54 - SIDE RADAR ALIGNMENT
ï· C1E10-78 - SIDE RADAR ALIGNMENT
ï· C1E90-54 - SIDE RADAR OFF-CENTER
ï· C1E90-78 - SIDE RADAR OFF-CENTER
To increase the chance of successful completion of Side Radar alignment, follow the
recommendations below:
ï· Ideal road conditions are long, straight two (2) lane roads with minimal stop
signs/signals and some structures along the sides of the roads.
ï· Keep speeds between 20-40 MPH and avoid interstates.
ï· Minimize stops.
ï· Minimize driving below 13 MPH.
ï· Utilize a USB cable to connect CONSULT 4 to the VI.
ï· A continuous internet connection is not required to complete the alignment, only
to start it.
ï· Side Radar LH and RH alignment may not proceed at the same rate to 100%.
ï· Continue Side Radar alignment if only one (1) LH or RH side displays 100% until
BOTH LH and RH sides display 100%.
HINT: If the above conditions are being met, the alignment will take approximately 30
minutes.
