My fiance put my 2006 Nissan Altima on a lift as a routine inspection and oil change only to find out that the driver's side and passenger side floor boards have rusted through. As well as my oil pan, flex connector between catalytic converter and muffler. My car is regularly maintained and this is unacceptable for a car that is only 7 years old. I then researched to see if this is an issue with other Nissan owners and it appears that it is. I have also had my car not start if it is moved a couple of feet and then turned off. I have brought it to my local Nissan dealer only to be told there was nothing wrong with my car.

My car is experiencing rust under the driver's side floor board. A quick internet search reveals that this is a known issue for Nissan Altima, however Nissan refuses to cover the car since it is outside the 5-year warranty. My car even has the undercoat protection, but has a hole in the floor board roughly the size of a softball. This should not occur on a car that is only 6 years old. I am the original owner of this vehicle. Many, many Nissan Altima owners are finding rust holes under their floor boards. This is clearly a manufacturer defect.

We bought the car from Nissan dealer in richmond ky, had 16,400 miles, nothing wrong body/interior great price..well one week later we had a 6 star crack on windshield, was told it had to be replaced, free from ky state law. When exchanged the service man who replaces them every day showed me that the glue wasn't bonded to our car in the first place. So if we were in a wreck, it could have shattered all over us. I posted pics up on auto beef...I have more.
