Rear sliding passenger door safety mechanism for detecting limbs/etc. Does not function to provide safety. This mechanism forcefully pushed a 130 lb adult that was applying significant pressure to stop the door, before hitting a 2 yr old child. Adult unable to prevent door from closing, had to pull child out of harm in addition to self.
