Rogue

On January 13 (about 29000 miles) while driving up an on ramp off of the highway the vehicle started to sputter and hesitate. Pulled off and put vehicle in park and engine continued to sputter a few seconds then die. Tried to start up and would briefly start, sputter, then die. Towed to dealership and was told my maf sensor was junked up by a bug. Sensor was replaced. On January 25, same thing happened. Driving down the highway and vehicle was becoming hesitant, inconsistent and jumping rpms, started sputtering and eventually stalled. Getting towed back to the dealership. Current mileage 30588.

When the vehicle is stationary, engine turned off a weird chirping/buzzing noise comes from the engine in intervals. The dealer is unable to duplicate, had the vehicle for 2 weeks. I have recorded it and sent to several mechanics, I see on youtube other owners have it as well, and Nissan can't figure out what it is. It happens frequently since the day I purchased the vehicle on 7-31-2017 brand new. I now have 10,000 miles, it still happens, last time yesterday.

The vehicle initially would not start on 1/17/18 while parked. I called Nissan roadside and they sent a tow truck a few hours later. Vehicle was unable to be jumped. Towed to the dealership. They could not duplicate the issue. I got the vehicle back several days later and the problem occurred again. I was at work so I waited on calling for a tow and when I went back out it turned over. In March, I had the same problem and the vehicle was again stationary and could not be jumped so it was towed. The dealer told me they could not find an issue so I took the car back. On 8/18/18 I was on the interstate when I felt the car seem to lose power and heard a whining or whistling noise which I initially thought was a window slightly open. I got off the interstate and parked in the closest area I could. The vehicle would not start and I again called Nissan roadside. The dealer had the vehicle for 2-3 weeks and again returned it telling me it was ok. On 9/11/18 I went to get lunch and the vehicle stopped working in a parking lot. I took video on 9/11/18 of the problem and again had to be towed and find a ride home (1 hour from home). Now I am told the dealer added some "harness" and it should work fine so I should come pick it up. This vehicle is clearly dangerous. I was driving so I was able to handle it but if my wife or somebody else was driving I really don't know what would have happened. I have further repair orders not included in the attached documents.

My car wouldn't start it would turn off as I'm sitting at a light, all my lights would blink on and off it was making a clicking sound then it finally turned on and my tire pressure light came on and a triangle with an explanation came on. I received a recall notice on my car, so I took it in and they told me it was the transmission and had to fix it they had my car for a whole week. I received my car back and about 2 months later my car continued to have the exact same problem. They fixed nothing!!!! my cars in the shop right now as we speak because of the same problem.

While driving down the highway the power dropped to the car. The rpms dropped down to almost zero, the power to the radio and fan motor stopped as well. I went from 65 miles per hour to 35 miles per hour in a matter of seconds. Thankfully I was not hit by another car. The second issue is that the engine feels like it might stall upon start after sitting all day. This has happened multiple times. The third issue is that the bluetooth radio system has a whistling sound when trying to use this and be safe while driving. The fourth issue is that the interior back door pulls to close the door both pop out and cannot be pushed back into place. The vehicle has been away from me for a significant amount of time so Nissan can try and make repairs. Consumer Affairs told us that simply there was no fix for the bluetooth issue and that the back door pulls was a design flaw from the manufacturer.

I experienced my car accelerating when not on the gas. I wasn't sure if it was my imagination but it's happened several times. I went out to start my car a few weeks ago and my key wouldn't turn. A red key appeared in the dashboard flashing. It took several minutes before the key eventually turned. This only lasted a day. Fast forward to now my car keeps stalling. I took it by an auto zone, I was told it was my alternator. Well I just purchased this car new last year. It's only a year old. This morning, it gave me the same issue. I go to turn the car on drive out the lot and it keeps stalling. No indicators in the dashboard are indicating anything is wrong. I'm afraid something is seriously wrong and do not feel comfortable driving it. I just dropped it off at the dealership where I purchased it. Per the staff, everything is normal. I'm now awaiting a diagnostic check.

As I was parking my car accelerated without warning. I had to step on the brakes rapidly to prevent hitting another car. This is the second time this happened. The first time I was driving on the highway, it happened so fast, I thought the gas pedal stuck. Now I realize that was not the case, it was an unintended acceleration as well. I took it to the dealer the first time and they found nothing wrong. Nothing was done. I will take it in tomorrow. This is very dangerous and scary. I am afraid to drive my car now.

While on city streets, trying to come to a stop I applied the breaks and nothing happened, I then had to let off the pedal and reapply pressure to bring the car to a stop. I took the car into a Nissan dealership and they refused to look at the car because I have had it in to have the breaks, engine hesitation, extended engine crank, and an A/C problem fixed 6 times in 5 months. Nissan has a tsb out for an electrical problem that has them reset the computer but it does not fix any issues. Nissan told me to get the problems to stop I need to cycle the key. When I asked what that meant they said to stop the car, put it in park, turn the car off, and turn it back on. I said even if it happens when I am driving at 70 mph on the highway? they said yes.

2017-Nissan Rogue sport; driving on hwy 41, the Rogue loses power/power failure and almost comes to a complete stop. The Rogue then comes back up and continues up hwy 41. The rear stop lights did not come on when the power went down. I was on a 5 lane hwy and could have been hit from behind. Also, would not have been able to get out of the car since I was in the middle lane. In speaking with the dealerships, this appears to be a known issue. I took it to autonation Nissan they kept it for two days. When I picked the Rogue up from their call, it did not and has not driven the same; I explained this to the tech. When he test drove it with us, he gunned it going up a hill, the engine just raced, the car did nothing. He immediately turned to a downhill rd and took the car back tot the dealership. This is a major safety issue which I've been through this before with Nissan. Everyone at the dealerships wants to say and talk about electrical issues, first thing the check. I spoke with a person at the dealership that advised they do what Nissan tells them to do. So it appears the safety issue continues, Nissan has the reset the computer to new settings and the problems and safety issue in our opinion is never addressed. I now have a 2017 Rogue sport with safety issues and sounds like an old car on its last leg after the dealership is done with it. Its time Nissan steps up to the plate and fixes the problem.

Nissan Rogue sport 2017 with 2K miles. Car has issues starting. Engine will turn over a couple times before starting. On 11.29.2017, car stalled at a stop sign and engine completely turned off. It took two tries for the car to start up again. Brought to Nissan reno immediately. Nissan reno called on 11.30.2017 stating the dx test came back without any negative results. Nissan stated that the car started fine for them and test drove it. Check engine light it not on. Extremely concerned as this is a major safety concern. What if I was on the freeway or major hwy and the engine would just turn off? I don't feel comfortable driving my brand new car that I've only owned for one month. This issue, if occurs again can cause injury to myself or another individual.
