Over the past 3 months, while driving on the highway, I would hear a series of 3 beeps and the collision detect warning light would light up for a brief moment. This has happened about 6 times. On one occasion the vehicle slowed down briefly as well. However, last week while driving on a residential street near my home, driving about 25 mph, the vehicle made the 3 beep sound and this time came to a sudden and extreme stop. It also made a grinding noise which I assume was from the brakes being applied suddenly.

Car will say obstruction ahead while in motion and then dead stop. This happens in parking garages, if the road has a dip and a puddle, under bridges, going at speeds from 5-15mph. Most recent time happened May 5 2018, this time it dead stopped with a red photo meaning collision in the garage, nothing was in front of the car the car was in motion when it stopped, the breaks were rock solid, car took time to move after gas pedal was hit. This is a multiple time incident.

Aeb activates when driving causing vehicle to stop suddenly for no reason. There is nothing to trigger this, vehicle just stops. This has happened 5 times to me. Nissan sent out a notice that there was a software upgrade available to eliminate this from happening. Once software was upgraded, happened 1 time again as I approached railroad tracks.. took to dealer, vehicle currently has 12,700 miles, dealer unable to duplicate problem. Nissan has acknowledged "no fix" and to return to dealer if problem occurs again. Have filed a complaint with Nissan Consumer Affairs case #35496726, with no satisfactory resolution. Do not feel safe driving this vehicle.

The contact owns a 2018 Nissan Rogue. While operating the vehicle, the brake assist randomly activated and caused the vehicle to decelerate and/or stop. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a representative was sent to examine the vehicle at priority Nissan (6390 richmond rd, williamsburg, va). The front sensors were replaced and a software update was performed, but the failures continued. Also, while in reverse, the rear sensors malfunctioned and failed to alert that a second vehicle was positioned in the rear, which could cause the driver to back into another vehicle. In addition, while driving with the cruise control engaged and set at 55 mph, the speed would increase on its own while driving on a curved road. The cause of the failures was not determined. The failure mileage was 5,000. As of 5/30/19 no volume with navigation system still, A/C not working right. Vehicle continues to jerk when pushing on the gas. Remote start not working again, Nissan connect has frozen up again. Consumer was told by the dealer there was nothing to repair or fix aside from the things that showed up on diagnostic's. When a consumer has any type of warranty issue or safety issue serviced by their local Nissan dealer, is Nissan North America required to report the issue to NHTSA" because I'm confident Nissan knows exactly how many navigation systems exactly like mine they have replaced under warranty. I would love to know that number. Because if I had seen that amount of replacements while I was still doing new car reasearch in Jan 2019, I would not have purchased this brand new Rogue sl platnum int. & bose premium sound pkg! already my brand new Rogue is experiencing several serious issues. The navigation/audio system screen with nissanconnect service just goes black. It intermittently and for no apparent reason reboots by itself on and off - constantly after the Rogue has been started. It factory resets itself as many as 25 times in a 10 mile drive. Several of those 25 reboots my radio will turn itself back on at an extremely loud volume, startling me while I'm driving. That is a huge safety issue! the back-up camera still works most of the time, but not all the time. I'm currently waiting a full 19 days while this replacement part is on backorder from Nissan. And I'm driving the Rogue with the startling, blaring audio in this condition throughout the entire wait. Nissan North am won't approve a loaner thru my dealer because my car is still "drivable". drivability and safety to Nissan are two different things. How many more of these Rogues with this problem are you knowingly planning to sell to unwitting consumers, Nissan? most consumers do not know to report this to NHTSA for themselves, so it is going unreported. Nissan certainly isn't reporting the issue! where is the service bulletin? why isn't anyone saying, "yes, we know there is a problem."? what is the solution? there isn't one. You know why" Nissan knows people don't want a car if it has something wrong with it.

The contact owns a 2018 Nissan Rogue. While driving 60 mph, the vehicle stalled and the lights flickered on and off without warning. Later, the "no key", "near crash", and "traction control" messages illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to hgreg Nissan delray (located at 2200 S federal hwy, delray beach, fl 33483, (561) 404-5337), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 24,000.

Nissan just released a customer initiative letter pertaining to the automatic emergency braking system that states the system may activate on its own causing the vehicle to stop suddenly. Nissan apparently has a fix for it but it has to happen first. This system already had a program update applied to it and the system still deactivated itself after driving. There have been a lot of complaints on this system and it is still not fixed. Manufacturer was contacted.

This vehicle is equipped with a front radar system which will apply emergency breaking if objects are sensed to be in front of the vehicle while it's in motion. On Jan 29, 2019, my vehicle engaged emergency braking while I was crossing a railroad crossing on a rough city street. The vehicle began beeping, came to a complete stop, the brake pedal automatically pressed all the way down, and would not drive until I pressed the brake. This left me sitting on an active rail crossing with a vehicle coming up behind me. This similar situation has happened to me several other times while crossing under bridges and entering parking garages but in those cases, only light braking occurred and I was able to proceed without needing to press the brake.

While driving, the automatic emergency braking system dash light flashes. Nissan suggests the issue is due to frost. The radar sensor is located behind the front grille emblem and may be blocked due to frost build up. Nissan claims there is no problem with the vehicle, and there is no fix. How can a vehicle's braking system be unavailable, yet there is no issue? the issue should be recalled. Perhaps relocate the sensor. Also, if it is in fact due to a frosty emblem, they should add a heated emblem to prevent the build up.

The aeb system is malfunctioning. On multiple occassions the car suddenly breaks eventhough there is nothing in front of the car. It has only happened to me while on the highway - generally the roads are clear. On one of the multiple occassions, clearing the radar of bug splatter solved the problem. On all the other occassions, there was no obstruction to the radar. The brakes come on, the aeb light on the console comes on, a warning flashes, and then the car moves on as if nothing happened. After doing this several times over several miles, the aeb light comes on and it desplays an error message about the front radar is not working and the cruise is disabled. On one of the occassions a large pickup truck towing a trailer was right behind me when the car suddenly put on the brakes. Fortunately, he was able to stop before hitting my car. When I had the car serviced at the dealer, I told the service rep about the issue. He indicated that a shadow or something like a leaf blown across the radar can cause it to react. I did not notice any occrence of such. I am extremely concerned that someone following to close will end up ramming me in the rear end. After doing an internet search, I have found multiple occurences of this problem and that Nissan has sent out several technical bulletins about the problem. As noted above, there have been multiple events of this type. It typically happens on the highway.

Nissan connect infotainment system resets itself after about 4 hours of driving. Was driving on a highway and system just went blank, lost all navigation, stereo and connectivity with phone, very aggravating when trying to follow the navigation. This happened twice on a long highway trip.

The contact owns a 2018 Nissan Rogue. While driving 5 mph, the vehicle unexpectedly stopped moving and the front camera malfunctioned. The contact also mentioned that the camera erroneously detected that a vehicle was in the front of his vehicle, which caused it to brake automatically. The contact stated that the failures occurred multiple times. Stadium Nissan (1140 w katella ave, orange, ca 92867, (714) 923-5100) was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000.

Car was bought in March 2018. Around 1 month into driving the car the radio and dash display starting doing its own thing. One would say radio on, the other radio off. At times, the connection menu would come and freeze. Got into the car and started it and the cd started playing loudly, which was strange as when I parked and got out of the car I always turn the radio off. Blind spot indicator failed several times when passing a tractor trailer. While driving at night with a storm coming the headlights and dash lights went out along with lights going dim for no reason several other times. Had one instance when pulled the wipers to clean the windshield, the sprayer worked but the wipers did not. Alot of electrical issues. Took to dealer 4 times in a month so they could "duplicate" the problems, I advised that there is no pattern to these problems. They told me to call Nissan usa in Tennessee, I did and went back and forth and they sent a Nissan tech to the dealership. He didn't drive the car and advised we delete all phones from the car and drive it that way for a few weeks. All problems still going on. Nissan usa called today and said to go back to the dealer, the case is closed and the dealer maybe can work with us on it. They reassured me that we still have the warranty so these problems are still covered. All instances happened whether driving, starting or parking the car. So 4 trips, 2 rental cars and 2 days of missed work in a month and driving what we feel is an unsafe car.
