Sentra

  • Automatic transmission
  • 78,685 miles

Just bought this 2013 Nissan Sentra February 2015 and already the transmission has gone out. I took it to the dealer only for them to tell me they have no idea what's wrong with it....but test drives it and completely agreed it's the transmission! I find it hard to believe, since apparently I'm not the only one....that the dealer can't detect a transmission problem!!! It's a very costly fix...I have three children, a family to provide for and can't do that because I have no car to rely on. It's a horrible thing what these dealers do to their customers. Very sad...

Sentra SL 1.8L

  • CVT transmission
  • 22,000 miles

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS AS THE OTHERS......If I drive down a hill the RPM start revving up and the needle starts getting out of whack just jumping up and down, I have sent in the car to get it fixed and they keep telling me the same thing, that there is nothing wrong with it. AND ALSO I drive it on a normal road and the RPM is going up to almost 4 without even changing gears, I have to press OD off and on several times to get it to change gears

Update from Jan 11, 2016: I changed the hub and wheel bearing but still problem, I now have 44600 miles on it and have decided to trade it in. This car has too many problems...Lemon

Sentra LV

I see the problems listed here on this site and they mirror mine exactly. Shuddering on takeoff, and progressively getting worse. When will @nissanusa acknowledge this failure? Unbelievable!

Sentra ES 4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 46,000 miles

If I drive down a hill the RPM start revving up and the needle starts getting out of whack just jumping up and down, I have sent in the car to get it fixed and they keep telling me the same thing, that there is nothing wrong with it. Yet they keep it for 1 week and a half at a time. This last time I got it back now I drive it on a normal road and the RPM is going up to almost 4 without even changing gears yet.
