I received a recall notice saying that my driver side airbag made by takata needs to be replaced and that parts will not be available until the spring of 2018, and that Nissan would supply me with a loaner car until the parts were available, when I talked to the dealer ship they said that I'm not eligible for a loaner because I'm only 23 years old, meaning if your under 25 it's ok to drive a car that could take your life. Also I found out that my passenger side airbag and front springs have a recall on them that I was never notified about, so my question is are company aloud to leave unsafe vehicle on the road leaving me to hope nothing will happen because of my age? I have no tickets or accidents and I've been driving sense I was 16 years old. Thank you [xxx] [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).'

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2009 Nissan Versa. While driving approximately 45 mph, the contact struck a coyote. The driver's side air bag in the steering wheel and passenger side air bag deployed with force. A white cloudy substance emitted into the vehicle impacting the driver's and the contact's vision. The driver was not injured. The contact (front passenger) sustained injuries to the left arm, hands, and nerve damages due to the force and was unable to determine if metal fragments emitted into the vehicle as well. The vehicle was towed to a yard and then to a repair center, but the cause of the failure could not be determined. A police report was filed. An independent inspector indicated that they were unable to determine negligence. The vehicle was included, but the contact was not notified of NHTSA campaign numbers: 16V349000 (air bags) 17V449000 (air bags). The vehicle was not diagnosed by a dealer. The manufacturer was later notified of the failure to determine if they could investigate the failure. The failure mileage was 46,720. Parts distribution disconnect.

Takata recall. Received notice about this recall in March 2017. Notice said parts would be in by the end of April 2017. Called 6/2/17 and was told parts would be in by end of June. Next time told end of July. It is now September and still waiting on parts. I never expected such a serious recall could take so long. Thank god I'm not sending a complaint telling you the air bag ruptured and my son is dead because of it. To have to worry every time the car is used that he will be seriously injured or worse, is unacceptable in this day and age. Feel at this point, that Nissan should provide another vehicle for him to drive instead of having him be at risk of dying from this faulty airbag that can rupture even at high temperatures and humidity. It doesn't even have to be an accident. Where is customer service with this company?

Recall 17V-028 I received a recall notice pertaining to the front passenger airbags. The message said that the new parts should be available by the end of April 2017. To this day, August 18th, 2017, I have received no further notice to let me know that the new parts are available. This is very serious and I feel that it's important to have this matter taken care of immediately.

I want to know when and how I can get this fixed as I do live in a high humidity state (Florida) and how will I be compensated up to $500 as the lawsuit agreed. I had no clue about the passenger not the drivers airbags until today.
