Takata recall. I was told by the Nissan dealership that I may have to wait until the end of the year until the replacement airbags are available. This is unacceptable. While I wait for a replacement airbag my son could be killed by the defective one"???????" absolutely unacceptable.

My air conditioner went out after 5 years of having the car. I had to pay over $1600 to have it fixed. My trunk stopped opening this year and could not be fixed. Now, there is an air bag problem with no replacement parts available yet. The dealer wants a $50 dollar deposit and for me to bring my insurance records to get a loaner. I was told to have someone with me for they have no room to store my car. I would need a person to ride with me so that the car can be stored in my driveway.

Takata recall. There is a recall on the drivers side airbag. The dealer does not expect to have replacement inflators until spring of 1918. This is entirely too long and is a safety hazard to wait this long for repairs.

Takata recall dealer specified that parts are not available for my vehicle, and that they can insecurely store my vehicle on their lot until repairs are completed. During the interim, a rental vehicle will be provided, however, I on my own time must renew the rental contract every 28 days. Estimated wait is until spring 2018 (3-6 months wait).

Takata inflators: Despite the initial recall being issued in 2016 as yet no fix available until spring 2018. Contacted Nissan dealer in birmingham al and was offered a loan car until they realised I will not be 21 until June 2018. It seems hypocritical to offer a loan car due to safety issues with the Nissan Versa but then withdraw the offer and leave no option but to drive a potentially unsafe vehicle due to an issue with their insurance company.

Takata recall- contacted local Nissan company and they cannot remedy our recall until spring of 2018. Just wanted it on file that we did make the attempt to fix the issue but parts are not available at this time. Hopefully we won't have any injuries before we can get it fixed.

Takata recall I was told by the dealer that the parts to repair the airbag would not be available until spring of 2018. It is now October 2017 and my teenage daughter is the primary driver of this vehicle. There has not been an accident, but the website said to complete form if the repair could not be done in a timely manner. 6 months is not a timely manner for my child to be at risk for injury.

Takata recall - pending parts availability for replacement. The driver's side airbag needs to be replaced however Nissan indicates the parts will not be available until first or second quarter of 2018. The manufacturer and the dealer have offered no assistance with a loaner. Nissan indicated we can submit an expense for a rental car, but there is no guarantee it will be reimbursed. This is completely unacceptable.

Takata recall: I've been trying to get a loaner vehicle and none of the Nissan dealerships in central Florida or even in South Florida have rentals. I escalated my case to the consumers affairs dpt at Nissan Corp and they have not helped at all. They can't offer any loaners, no rentals. They are only offering to "review" any receipts I may have for rentals, but they will not be guaranteed to be reimbursed. Dealerships do not know what is going on. Some employees said parts will be here in weeks, but know I know parts will not arrive until spring 2018. I am moving and they won't even pay for my car to be transported from central Florida to South Florida. Nissan consumer's affair dpt. Said they won't cover those costs. They are offering no help to have safe cars on the road, much less to protect drivers lives. Nissan Corp., responded "they can't dictate what dealerships can or not do because they are independently owned" when I asked why they are not collaborating with dealerships to provide more rentals to costumers affected by the takata recalls. I've been dealing with this situation for weeks. I don't know what else to do.

To whom it may concern: I recently called my nearest Nissan dealer and asked the representative if I am able to get a loaner car because I no longer feel safe driving after receiving a safety recall letter in the mail. He responds by saying yes just come on in and fill out the paper work for it. Shortly after hanging up I head to the dealer, I get there and let the service representative know why I'm there. Soon after he scheduled me to come in when I have my insurance transferred over to the loaner vehicle. Come to find out that I needed full coverage transferred to the loaner vehicle which I don't have with my current insurance. However, I still have insurance. I recall the guy saying to me that once I get the loaner vehicle, I can no longer drive my Nissan Versa 2010 that has been recently recalled. Not only are you guys risking my life but also now my insurance isn't good enough. For one, its on Nissan's fault that my current isn't safe for me to drive and now I have to pay for Nissan's mistake. When with my current vehicle my current insurance is perfect should not have to suffer or pay out of pocket any money at all. This is Nissan's problem and they need to fix it because if I do get into my car and lets say I get I get into a car accident I will sue. My safety and my money is something I take very seriously so I need this issue to be resolved as soon as possible.

Takata recall received recall letter which said parts would be available spring 2018 and to see our local Nissan dealer if we needed loaner vehicle. Went to somersworth Nissan and the service manager said he had no loaner vehicles available. He told us if there was a problem the airbag malfunction light would be on. It didn't say that in the recall letter. He said the only thing he could do for us would be T leave our car there and when he got a chance they would look at it to see if it would be dangerous to drive. I asked him if they would look at it today and E said no they didn't have time. We have to go to work tomorrow so we'll be driving the recalled car because even though we did everything we were told to do in the recall letter we couldn't get any help. I've tried contacting Nissan North America to ask them if the car is safe to drive and have been on hold for over two hours. No one is answering the phone there.
