TRANSMISSION FAILURE AT 65000 IS BAD ENUFF- BUT WHEN NISSAN WONT EVEN HELP YOU OUT AT ALL- AT ALL....WHEN YOU ARE LESS THAN 5000 OUT OF WARRANTY? REALLY? I CANNOT EVEN GET THEM TO GIVE ME CONTACT INFO OF THEIR SUPERIORS- THEY ACTUALLY REFUSED ME.......
I AM NOT DONE WITH THIS AT ALL. I HAVE FILED WITH THE BBB IN FRANKLIN, TN & WILL DO SO IN MY HOME STATE IN SC.
THEY WANT A FIGHT ON THIS- THEY WILL GET ONE. DO NOT BUY A NISSAN PRODUCT OF ANY KIND AT ALL!

Even though Nissan has had a problem with the CVT transmission, they refuse to assist in anyway with the repairs. When I spoke to Katrina in Consumer Affairs, her response was "We are working to improve our CVT transmissions". They have recalled the transmissions for the 2007-2010 models, and yet are still using the same CVT in the newer models. Tow driver mentioned picking up three versa's the week before with the same problem. You would think since they are "working to improve" they would offer extended warranty on all until it is completely "IMPROVED". Or at least the sales team should warn people to get an extended warranty because they are "working to improve" the transmission so to be on the safe side, we suggest an extended warranty or better yet a different car!

Apparently the CVTs that they put in these are real POSs. The Altimas and Sentras use the same ones that the Versas do so those should be added to this total since its the same part. They're too touchy to rebuild so no one fixes them. Your options are to find a junked car and pull one or buy one new from Nissan. Oh, and the $300 magic fairy dust unicorn tool that's required to drain the transmission fluid is there to ensure that you have to go to dealership to get the car serviced.
