I have a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero with only 44,000 miles and I have had to change both window regulators and changed mounting clips in the driver's window only 9 months ago. This is a very costly part to have to purchase. Why isn't there a recall?

Rotors bad, brakes bad, wheels leak air, windows leak air in, windshied shakes, engine runs high temps and knocks, paint is starting to rust. Cd player is always shuting off. Dealer has not done a thing to help and my car is under warranty for a few more months. I need help soon.

The brake rotors turned twice and replaced once. This caused the brake pads to have to be replaced. The drivers door automatic window motor had to be replaced twice and now the passenger door window was doing the same thing. The interior light fell out and had to be put back in. The sun visor came loose and had to be tightened again. The cd player had to be replaced. A backlash of electricity caused a fuse to be replaced. The car died on a highway and towed to the dealership. The intact manifold leaked, it was tightened up and one month later the same problem happened again. The drivers side seat belt did not detract automatically.

Car windows dont go down, signal lights dont always work
- Port Allen , LA, USA
Front driver side power window regulator failed. Window will not roll up or down. Rear seat does not clasp into proper harness - I too kit to russ darrow and they said a seat is "cosmetic, and it is as fixed as it is going to get".. turn signals do not work 70% of the time. The lighter was pushed into the main jack to be used, the lighter never popped out properly. As a result both jacks are inoperable. Rotors were replaced at 37,000 but there is still very loud wobbling noises and tire noise. Dealer suggests new tires, the tread is fine on the current tires. New tires will only mask the noises.

When applying brakes, steering wheel would vibrate. Had taken to dealership, and had the rotors resurfaced or replaced. Problem still present. Consumer states tire had to be replaced at 6000 miles, insufficient sealing caused water to leak in to drivers side rear foot well, both front door opening w/strips and door panel water barriers were replaced and also power window squeaks when going up and down.

I have been having brake problems for the last year and a half. The brakes pulsate under any braking conditions, but at speeds above 50 mph it is extremly bad. The dealer has attempted to fix the problem on six occasions with no success. The first brake replacement they replaced both front rotors and pads. That lasted for about 10,000 miles before needing another repair. After that repair the rotors were resurfaced, which then caused the brakes not only to pulsate but to also make a grinding or moaning noise while stopping. We are now on repair number six and still the problem is not fixed. After speaking with a representative from General Motors and being told that brakes are not a safety concern I am worried about the safety of any GM vehicle. Something needs to be done about the defect of these brakes before someone is injured or killed because GM can't admit fault. The driver side power window has stopped working on two occasions the first being on 12/10/2001 then again on 02/06/2002. On both occasions the motor had to be replaced. No further problems with this as of yet.
